Fans often want their coaching hire to "strike fear" into their fellow programs.....

Very few hires actually do that, however. Saban to Alabama in 2007 was one of those.

This imminent announcement of the hire will be another.

Aranda is that guy. Other coaches think he’s a genius tactician.

There is only one hire that will strike fear into opponents, and that’s Saban, so we can go ahead and take that scenario off the table.

Throw this out to the SEC Rant and I'll bet the one who most would not want us to hire would be Urban Meyer.

No one is scared of Riley either.

The one guy that would do it is Urban Meyer.

Fans are retarded.

All they want to do is go to the SEC rant and brag about the hire.

No one will be scared of Lincoln Riley.

No one is scared of Urban. He’ll either be forced out due to scandal or retire due to health after a few years.

Really? You honestly don't think Urban Meyer to LSU would strike fear into our opponents? Even if it was just a few years, we'd be a freaking juggernaut.

Wrong again. The only hire that would even raise any concern would be Dabo to lsu. Nothing else even comes close.

Yep. The last time all the other teams felt that fear of LSU was when Aranda and *gasp* Brady were DC & OC. Went thru the SEC and the country just curbstomping everyone with Brady’s offense (crazy to imagine reliving that kind of level again with the 5 star qb coming in)
Greatest college football team of all time.

People so tired of hearing about Joe Brady now though. Mind boggling to me.

Riley gives up 28ppg as OU’s HC. Not the kind of fear Spurrier and Saban created.

I can promise you other SEC coaches will be afraid of Riley's ability to recruit 5 star offensive talent in their respective states. The fear starts with recruiting.
