ST is being handled in house for bowl game only. There will be a new ST coach hired.
Same for OC. Ensminger will coach bowl game but new coach might be announced before then

They are going to cover ST for the bowl game inhouse. He didn't say the permanent spot would go to a person inhouse.
Maybe he wants and NFL guy for the ST's.

After LSU puts up decent offensive numbers against Louisville, O will announce Ensminger as the permanent OC

Well weren't the names in the binder? Didn't O ALREADY have elite coordinators committed before we offered him the job? Weren't the coordinators part of the offer itself?
We hired O because he already had a bead on an OC and could keep Aranda. Aranda hasn't signed and now we don't have OC.

For me, it's not really about knowing now. It's more about will there actually be a legitamite search, or is O just pushing this out because he's hoping lane says yes. If not, then he will panic and take the closest/easiest option. It would be more comforting if we knew they were actually holding interviews or some sort of indication that they have a very solid list of people.

Eh, I don't think anyone's melting. And it isn't that simple.
And yes, I think most would rather they take time.
What it means is that part of O's promise sounds like it's a fabrication. There was no OC lined up. Possibly, yes the chance exists but it's Kiffin 100% and this is what we wait on. But if Kiffin heads to UH...that's the problem. That's why this plan would never work.
It also means this plan of hiring O just to hire better talent relies on O creating this process. The last time O was in charge of hiring people he wasn't successful.
