At some point you gotta think about quality of life for your family.

10 million a year in SoCal seems better than 10 million a year in Baton frickin Rouge

Stop this crap. Did it hurt Nick Saban to leave East Lansing, MI and Michigan State to take LSU. Did it hurt Les Miles to leave Ok. State with 4 kids?

Baton Rouge is no different than any other Metro area with a population of around 750K to 800K. No it is not a pure college town like an Athens, GA nor is it a major Metro area like LA where USC is.

What quality of life are you talking about? You think Les Miles 4 kids were having "quality of life problems" while he was at LSU. If he did, it was idiots on the message boards attacking his family. You think Nick Saban's 2 young kids had quality of life problems while he was here.

The problem with the LSU job are fans like you.

If you mean the fan base, yes. It was a determining factor when Saban bugged out. The fanbase, especially south of Alexandria, are in general self-proclaimed experts.

Do you think the USC is in Malibu. It’s closer to Crenshaw and South Central than LSU is to North Baton Rouge.

I think that Baton Rouge as a town to raise a family in can definitely be a detraction for candidates weighing options. I loved my years in BR, and I love LSU, but I would have to think long and hard about moving my family back there and raising my kids there. Not saying that every part of the city is awful. But there's enough to give a person pause if they have options to live in other places.

I know that will offend some, and I apologize. Just telling you that as a father I would make a list of pros and cons before that move and the city itself would fall on the cons side of the list.

Yes, it has to. Makes no sense that we can’t get a big name coach. Elections have consequences

It has nothing to do with elections. It has everything to do with Baton Rouge being a shite place for a very long time.

Yeah, College Station and Tuscaloosa are much cleaner, nicer environments than a Baton Rouge. Really, the whole state of La is an eyesore, it's like no one there cares about clean highways or cities, I hate to say that, but just drive around down there. The streets of New Orleans are ridiculous. Smh

Riley will never see that ghetto as he drives home to his mansion in the Hollywood Hills and takes his kids to Bel Air High School

Yeah...but you would be forced to live in a state people are fleeing from. California.
