I understand Bayou Brian interviewed him but what if CBD and our future OC butt heads?

Maybe we already have one and he’s good with Davis?

Maybe our head coach is actually in charge…. You know the way it’s supposed to be.

Do coordinators usually get to select position coaches?

Brad Davis (off the field) seems very down to earth and easygoing. Could be a ruse, but he seems like he could work with most anybody.

That being said, it sounds like we may have our guy already.

Coordinators like to get paid a ton of money. Davis already on staff this more money to OC. It’s a win for all.

How often does an OC pick his OL coach, realistically?

Davis is getting paid a ton himself, OL better make huge strides these next few years to justify his price at renewal.

He did turn chicken shite into slightly digestible chicken shite this year so we’ll see

Never heard of Saban allowing his OC to pick OL coach? Could be wrong but don’t recall it

The head coach picks the assistants.

The coordinators are not department heads that hire their own staff. The narrative that the OC hires "his guys" is moronic, especially with premier coaches.

On an established staff, the coordinator may have some input.
