Seeing the article written about him wanting to have a shot at the USF job got me thinking if he actually tried to get into the college ranks surely he’d do better than USF

There isn't a GM in the NFL or AD in America that has the stones to hire Gruden.

Mmmmm. Have you met Keith Carter? Best AD at Ole Miss in my lifetime. If Kiffin leaves I could see us going after a big splash hire like him.

No, he’s done. He will not get a job period, let alone coaching.

I'd love to see it but I don't think it happens. I hope I'm wrong.

He will likely not get a job for a while, but if anyone hires him.it will be Liberty when they lose Hugh Freeze.

Yes. He's on a plane to New Orleans as we speak.

Auburn could do a lot worse.

He’s 10x the coach Deion is and I’m starting to hear Deion’s name mentioned for some big jobs.

NFL teams can’t touch him because he went after Roger, but why would a college care? Especially one in the South with a mostly conservative fanbase.

Would Auburn be a good fit?

Zero chance that Ole Miss hires a coach who said a

If Hugh Freeze and Bobby Petrino are still working, surely Gruden can get a shot somewhere.

frick it, bring him to Arkansas. He just spoke at the Little Rock touchdown club a month or two ago and made national headlines because it was the first time he actually talked about those emails and apologized and was contrite.

A program like Arkansas will end up having to take a big risk on a hire if we ever want to dig out of mediocrity, see Bobby Petrino for instance. It's going to take a ballsy move that's considered "outside of the box" to change things up and reset the trajectory, maybe it crashes and burns (a la Petrino) or maybe it pays off.

But the fact of the matter is, it can't get much worse. Programs like Arkansas have to do something extraordinary if they ever want to rise up, otherwise they just stay somewhere in the middle or lower for eternity if they keep making "safe" hires. There really is no downside worse than what we've already dealt with.

And this doesn't just go for taking a chance on Gruden, there's several coaches out there that would fit the big risk/big reward criteria. Some that may not even be such a huge risk anymore, like Freeze or even Petrino.
