I think he wants to go to LSU and doesn't want his name drug through the mud. If he wanted to stay at OM there wouldn't be a decision to make.

LK is and always will be a little on the flaky side. And I've been rough on him on this board because I am scared that he's playing games or we'll play games on us in the near future. However, I will say it's got to be a tough decision for him. He's built relationships, friendships, recruited kids and has had success with those kids. I'm sure it's hard for him to walk away when he's on the cusp of playing for an NC. Very very tough decision based on the human Factor.

Made his decision. No way he’s staying at OM and dragging it out to tomorrow. He had to say something and that’s what he chose to say.

The “late push” by Ole Miss tells me it’s been LSU for a while and he really did just get cold feet and panicked a little. I now expect it to be LSU.
I say this as someone who thought he would end up staying at Ole Miss the whole time.

Keep in mind, it is almost a guarantee that the playoffs expand again for the 2027 season. Kiffin + LSU + 3 loss cushion = annual playoff berth
