Oklahoma still has an outside chance of making the playoff. Lincoln can not publicly abandon his team mid-season. Would be a PR hit to him professionally.

With how crazy the last couple of days have been, and I mean outside of this board as wel, I am shocked Riley hasn't come out with some kind of comment directly denying that he is not leaving if that is the case.

Maybe I’m totally wrong.

I believe my conclusion.

He was going. Even hired a staff. That’s why it got leaked. Staff member leaked it. Then like 3-4 teams in top five lost right after and lsu ended up in championship game. Can’t leave that and neither would Riley

Yup that’s what is happening in regards to his silence. He won’t denounce because then he’ll look like he lied

Les Miles made his statement before any of those games. Before we played Tenn, before WVU lost to Pitt, and before Mizzou lost to OU. Going into that day we all thought we were playing for an SEC title and a Sugar Bowl berth at best, many honestly were happy Miles was leaving.

We have since learned that he was definitely going. Things change though.

Had he not, Saban would be at LSU.

The main thing I remember about the CLM press conference announcing he was not going to Michigan is belowpar making his grand entrance here not long before the SEC championship game and getting briefly banned the morning of the PC before presenting his bonafides to the mods. He was a legit insider. Good times.

I saw some guy say that Miles was going to go, he had already hired a staff to go and it leaked.

The timing couldn't have been more inopportune (if that's what happened, I have no idea) because we still had a shot at a national championship if the dominos fell right, which they did and after that, no coach, whether you like Miles or not, could walk away from a program after they just won a national championship.

That's just what I read but it does make sense. If things leak out, it could screw up everything. Oklahoma still has a chance to go to the CFP. Who knows which is why we probably haven't heard a definitive yes or no from OU.

Well that settles it. Riley to LSU, Harbaugh to OU, and Miles to Michigan.
