The same guy responsible for the Les vs Jimbo fiasco last year?
The same guy that hired Johnny Jones?
among many other short fallings

Seems pretty risky to let that guy make a big hire that will have implications on your football program for many years to come. But maybe Alleva has changed and he'll do better this time

well the good news is like most big time hires, he isn't really going to be making it. He is going to do as the TAF directs.

It's not like we have a choice. A recruiting hotbed will always be somewhere people want to go.

They, as in TAF, will hire a search firm to give a list of top candidates.

Those candidates will then be vetted by TAF and given to Alleva on a short list.

Then Alleva will give them his pick and TAF has to approve it.

Foley has hired Zook and Muschamp, bad hires just happen.

If Arkansas can get Bert, I'm excited to see who LSU can go out and land

Who at least recruited his arse off and left the program in decent shape.

and Muschamp

Terrible hire. Shouldn't have trusted a coordinator. We shouldn't either.

Exactly. Lets get a guy who is consistent, recruits well, and knows how to hire a staff.

But also can speak English, is very cerebral, and isn't adverse to innovation.

It is his passion that I know will translate into success on and off the court for our student-athletes."

Fire Joe too and get a new AD?

I mean we still have months to go before any hire is announced. Kill two birds with one stone.

I truly don't. This is the worse part about all this. We have to rely on the decisions of Joe frick boy Alleva. Hoping for the best. But expecting meh. Go get em Joe.

I don't blame you. I would be too if I were an LSU fan. I think everything will turn out fine, eventually.

I agree with that. LSU has too many advantages to keep them down forever.

ummm... not really, his fault. He was going to fire Les just like most people here wanted. But his boss and his bosses bill paying boss put a stop to it. That wasn't his fault.

And with a buyout as huge as was needed last year it required many boosters to be in on the planning since they were footing the bill. Not all were all in and the leaks result from that.

Last years mistakes were not on Alleva.

I feel pretty good that LSU will hire TH. But as always I am sure if we must take our 4th choice because the rest say no, then everyone will blame Alleva for those guys saying no and will post stupid crap, like, why did Alleva hire X when he could have hired TH.

Yeah but the Chavis drama the year before seems to be completely his fault.

A. Just like with this football hire, Alleva didn't make that basketball hire.

B. Johnny DID improve his first 3 years and get us our most heralded recruit ever...so it was trended correctly before he just fell on his own dick last year.

Hopefully, Dale Brown isn't calling the shots on this hire.
