yeah one good season. If prothro wasnt hurt they probably would have had a much better season. Croyle + prothro = deadly. Then they might have kept them if they would have won the west that yr.

The point is not that your posts make anyone "cry."
The point is that your repetitious posts have become tedious.

OMG, you used TWO big words and italics. I don't stand a chance.

Really???? I changed my sig. quote for the first time in two years after that Ole' Mrs. debacle...
I don't want Miles fired right here and now, but that was a travesty. And Crowton needs to go, asap. should not have been given the chance to call one play of the Arky game, imo.

Wake me up when Miles goes 6-6 at LSU. One 10 win season where the wheels fell off the cart after starting off 9-0 isn't enough to save your job when the next season you go 6-6.

so impatient and negative

I would support Miles if he'd get rid of Crowton, but damn it seems he has some kind of death wish clinging to Crowton and Stud. I just don't get it!

Lies and DAMN Lies! Come on. That is pathetic. They were 6-7 when he was canned.
quote:
They were led by fourth year head coach Mike Shula. The 2006 squad collected a record of 6-7, however all six wins were vacated (pending appeal) in 2009 when the NCAA announced penalties against Alabama for violations that occurred during the season.
After finishing their 2005 campaign with a 13-10 win over Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl Classic, the Tide hoped to prove themselves yet again in the SEC. The team ultimately finished the season with a 6-7 (2-6 in SEC) record, including losses to rivals Auburn and Tennessee. Head coach Mike Shula was subsequently fired on November 26 after four years with the program.

I will be? WTF you stalking me or something?
I don't see where I "defend" Miles, I just don't see the point of rambling on and on about how he must be fired with a 51-14 overall record.
Your view comes across as mis-informed and ignorant. No one is saying things are fine- they MUST get better but the constant "I know what's better for LSU than LSU does" theme of your post are truly unrealistic and smell of total rant-tard-ness
Have a great day

Shula had a 10 win season (lost of LSU in T-town in Overtime) and they went to win the Cotton Bowl and got his contract extended. He flamed out the next year and was canned. His first 3 seasons were disasters. I of 5 years with a decent team -- so this post is not accurate.

Still most everyone was SHOCKED when they got rid of him.
to be honest had he gotten rid of OC Rader he woud have kept his job but he wouldnt cut ties so they parted ways. Atleats that is what I heard out of Alabama at the time. I am glad obviously it worked out this way.

This. I find that I now steer completely clear of the rant and most Miles threads on other boards. It's the unrealistic arrogance that turns me away.

Sadly this is true.
It was told to me that Mal basically gave him a chance to make changes. Shula shot back with changes in delegation, the funniest/scariest/sadest being special teams coach Dave Ungerer to coaching tackles and tight ends with Connelly staying on coaching the interior offensive lineman.
Again, I don't think we really know how bad we had it.

maybe, its been addressed already somewhere in here, but the arrogance of some of you "fans" still amazes me at times...and it really shouldnt.

Miles is going to bed with Crowton. Bad season next year and they both should be fired.
Our recruiting is sinking right now. Not even in the top 10 anymore.
The program is trending down... It is what it is.
