Did anyone really think when O was hired that we wouldn’t have drama?

It follows the guy around. Look at his time at USC and how that ended. There was a reason they wanted no part of him as full-time HC ins spite of a 6-2 record. Then, when they opted to go with Sark over him, he left in a huff before the bowl game.

The whole shitshow of being trolled by Kiffin and having to "settle" for Canada last year should've been another red flag.

If he somehow manages to survive 2018, expect more of the same next year.

Red flags have always been there for O.

Isn't O a felon also? I know his past is shady as hell.

The fact that Alleva was shouting down Briles while hiring coach O to be the HEAD coach a year earlier is laughable

He got into a drunken bar fight here in BR back in '92 while he was D-line coach at The U. He was charged with felony 2nd degree battery, but the charges were dropped.

Aside from that, I don't know of anything else.

I hoped there wouldn't be but I was still pretty certain it would be a train wreck at some point. I didn't really think it would happen this fast though.

It's total bs to say they didn't want any part of him. If you're going to make points, do use lies and/or ignorant statements to do it.

Well, then tell us, o wise one, why he didn't get the gig after a 6-2 mark?

As I recall, it came down to he and Sark. They knew what they had.

Well they didn’t give him the full time job, did they?

I legit laughed out loud when I read Tenth's post that O offered Kiffin, a current HC, the OC position at LSU

Kiffin will likely win his conference next year and then be a P5 HC again. Hell, maybe LSU's.

frickin' Special Ed.

I was pumped for him as DL coach because he can recruit his balls off

The drama is always someone else's fault though, never his.

I had my reservations as well. Especially after what went down before he went to Tennessee with Kiffin in '09.

No, everyone knew the rant would always have drama. No matter who is the HC.

It's one thing to recruit for another guy; you can be a little slimy but the recruits and family look at the HC and can see if he is professional, seems to have integrity, etc.

But when you're the HC, it's a different game altogether.

The bottom line is Joe " I am the search" Alleva hired an unqualified, unproven, and incompetent head coach who sounds like a chain smoking version of cookie monster when he speaks! He is a disease that weakens and damages the program more and more the longer he is here! The drama that follows along with Ed is just a symptom of the disease. Until the disease is cut out and removed the program can not begin to heal. I believe that O is an excellent recruiter and a good d-line coach but he is one of those people who craves power and control. Once he gets the power he so desperately wants he immediately loses focus and only cares about keeping that power and he will do anything necessary to ensure he does. That is what we are seeing now with the Ensminger to OC potential promotion. He knows Ensminger is not the best candidate for OC but O knows he is a "yes man" and can easily be controlled. He is surrounding himself with people who he believes, can and will, fight to help him keep his position of power when next seasons inevitable losses begin to happen!

To be honest, I knew he would be bad, but never in my worst nightmares did I envision the situation getting this bad this quickly. So congrats 0, I guess, you exceeded expectations in at least one area.
