Do you ignorant shits not understand that LSU publicly leaking the Orgeron love and scenarios has been a ploy to motivate him and the team to salvage the season? He was never getting the job. Quit melting you intellectual betas.

I hope you are right. That could be true, but it's a highly optimistic interpretation of events, and there is no actual proof to support it. It's surmise. And it ignores the fact that there is a frighteningly vocal segment of the fan base that actually wants him as coach to this day. Also, don't be so disdainful and pretend that you have some special insight into LSU's tactics.

Here is the full quote.

quote:

"I want to get it right," he said. "Getting it right may be sooner rather than later to make sure we get it right. "Because of the timetable we’ve had, we’ve had a lot of time to do due diligence, do a lot of research and look into all the character and demeanor and all the integrity issues that go into looking at a new head coach," he continued during the interview. "It’s a critical position as far as leadership. Our whole athletic department revolves a lot around football, and it’s critical that we get the right man in place. I’m very confident that we will. We have a lot of great people interested in it, so we’ll see where it goes."

I stand by my speculation that Alleva thinks, to the point of being very confident, he has his man and it will be made public early next week.

The two lines I bolded lead me to reach my conclusion.

But, heck, I thought Trump would be out of the Republican race after the SC primary. And, I thought LSU would beat UF by 20+.

then he shits the bed AGAIN vs florida, and they're just talking as if it doesn't matter.

I kept an open mind as far as O goes after the bounce back vs Arkansas. I was very critical of him after Bama like many, but I figured we should all just wait and see what he could do in the last two games, and then how things would play out.

Well, anyone out there like me got their definitive answer yesterday. There are just too many red flags between the Bama and UF games to believe O is the man to be our head coach. I have no faith that he is ready to regularly win big games. I don't see how anyone could at this point.

i agree, i dont like it either, but i think sonny and shea are both very good, if theyre saying something its because they believe it to be true. hopefully theyre wrong this time.

I feel as if he is going to try to use Herman's supposed DWI as an excuse
how can this still be "supposed", its not exactly hard to find out if the guy got a DUI or not. if it were actually true Im assuming it would have been reported by now.

I want to believe LSU has used these 2 months to pursue 5-7 candidates who would be the best fit for the job, and then work their way down the list accordingly, instead of just putting all their eggs in 2 baskets.

they have relax. this also proves random's money guy was right in begining about jimbo and herman being top two BUT even his source i believe threw out a smokescreen to him when he said herman wouldn't be actively pursued in a bidding war with Ut and oregon.

I think LSU was gonna do whatever it took to keep this semi-quiet and if we nail herman we did it.

Thanksgiving will help if it's Jimbo. Jimbo will get peppered with questions for a couple of days, but the average LSU/UF week probably would have been tough to get through. Now, everything will get shut down midweek.

Crazy 4 LSU, thanks.

I just listened to his interview and heard the full statement, including what you posted. It puts a different context on it than what the written article said.

I still think the announcement will be early next week, but I'm not quite as confident as I was before reading your post and listening to the interview.

Thanks.

They have to sell scripts, though, and keeping Orgeron's name in their discussions only helped them.

Can someone answer for me why LSU people would want to announce publically via Dellenger that Jimbo will be offered the job Saturday after his game?

I don't see the advantage here...unless it's a smokescreen for Herman.

I'm surprised detellnger had time to write this article between finding excuses for coach O

ETA it would not surprise me at all to see a lot of false flag reports put out by O in order to try to scare away candidates

by all accounts Orgeron has been a candidate for the job, Dellenger just said the same in this article, S/S arent making that up.

I have a good feeling about this. Going to be a great Thanksgiving weekend. Tigers will put the beatdown on the Aggies again and then we announce our great news on the coaching hire Sat/Sun.

But if guice doesn't fumble and doesn't go the wrong way and LSU makes a chip shot field goal, LSU wins double digits and you still give O the benefit....not even including Jackson's Frick ups.. What if LSU wins that game 27-6.....just saying...could have very easily happened if Jackson and guice don't Frick us.

Sad that the second biggest reason I'm not on the O train is because he isn't an offensive/defensive guru. I have no doubt about his ability to lead, motivate, or recruit.. he's probably top tier in those categories.

Unfortunately that's just not enough in todays game.
