Maybe this is wishful thinking, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Herman get the job with how publicized Jimbo's name is in this article in connection with the LSU job, Strong's firing, and rumors of Tom Herman at BR airport on Friday...

Yea something was amiss with O during the Arky game.
I think he knew the expectations that were laid out to him by the admin if he wanted to be a serious contender for the job was for him to go undefeated.
After the loss to Bama, O knew it was over for him.
After the Arky game is when all of the names began to surface.
Something is up..

I've said Jimbo was the guy all along and everything except the signature is done, but his name being so prominent in some of the "leaks" and Herman's name being almost non existent certainly make me go hmmmmmmm

No all my threads have been about Herman, I did make a thread today saying Jimbaw wanted 7 mil to be LSU's coach but even in that thread I said I still believe we have a great chance to get Hermbaw

Who exactly is hollering for O today? No one in their right mind has mentioned it. Actually the only mention I've seen is some dude on this thread who has put in every thread today that O and ensminger are who we are putting our future in. Actually no one in LSU's admin has ever said anything like that O was the front runner or anything more than possibly earning consideration. This board has perpetuated O's popularity simply by hating on him. Again, why would LSU fire a man to pay him not to coach for the next few years only to hire his Dline coach without going after anyone else. That's ignorant and it never happened.

JP, hope you're right but the more obvious answer is that Alleva put all his eggs in the O Jimbo bag and has failed to do due diligence in his hire. And for the record I, believe he was gonna get Jimbo if not for Alexander.
ETA: if Alleva pulls this off with Jimbo or Herman, he deserves his manhood back.
