Mikie Mahtook mentioned the possibility a few shows back. Apparently Dana would come in to help install concepts/guide Sloan/Hankton through SEC.

He insinuated that Dana would "step in" if the duo struggled. Any merit? If so, how'd yall feel about Dana? (btw. he never taught TE, and I think he's a damn good OC)

I think he has a good offensive mind, but he's a drunk and an a-hole.

Can’t blame him. Ran out of town in both Morgantown and Houston when he was winning. He just got lazy on the trail (mainly due to lack of support)

And he's a drunk and an a-hole. Makes it harder to recruit

What would he know about coaching at an SEC program? Sloan and Hankton have more experience doing that.

I don’t know how anyone wouldn’t think this is a great idea. Terrible head coach but a elite offensive mind

I think he'd be a great mind to help build and install the offense and weekly game plans. And he can do it all behind the scenes without the pressure that being a HC has brought him. BK's rehab program. If he can't hold off on the drinking enough to do his job, he can be unceremoniously let go and not be embarrassed. Low risk, high reward. I'm cool with it.

Analysts are something that are never vital to keep but never hurt to have more of. Give me a hundred ex HCs as analysts if we’ve got the budget for it.

So Texas is gonna hire him then? Because they tend to hire drunk assholes.

Does Baton Rouge have enough strip clubs for him?

So bring him in as an analyst. Sounding board for Joe Sloan in meetings. Help gameplan, troubleshoot during the week but hands off on gameday

Will also be cheap as Houston is still paying him

He will fit right in! Joking aside, I was always a fan of the Kraken. Especially their arse whopping of Clemson in the Orange Bowl. Those Austin, Smith Bailey teams were very very good.

So was Sark when Saban hired and rehabilitated him. So bring him on as an analyst.

Two of those three things are true (He isn't actually a bad guy, but he doesn't suffer fools, and can come across as an a-hole to the media).
