That’s what the interview process is for...have you ever worked in your life? That’s how the world works...ask experts for recommendations, hold interviews, and pick the best fit...

Hmm.. Pretty sure O made it clear in the past Ensminger was the OC, not Brady ... interesting...

Is anyone surprised orgeron is so immature as to have his flunky call Brady?

So i guess we can stop the charade that 2019 was Ensminger's offense mixed in with Brady. It was seemingly all Brady.

You sound like a plant baw who has never hired someone in his life.
There is nothing wrong with getting advice or recommendations from someone you trust. I do it. Everyone who hires does it.
You then take those recommendations and do your own research and interviews.
These guys on both offense and defense have likely already gone through multiple Zoom interviews and other due diligence processes. The in-person interviews are to solidify and confirm your thoughts and feelings regarding the person.
I see nothing wrong with anything Orgeron said.

With your job on the line, you wouldnt want to ask brady some screening questions about the guys he recommends? Talk to him one and one and get the specific pros and cons of each one? You can do it through another person, but i find you get more thought out responses and less gets lost in translation when you do things yourself. Specifically, something this important

Good point. Too busy to pick up the phone to call Brady like WTF. Brady won that moron the Powerball.
Posted on 1/5/21 at 11:30 am to josh336
Or you could fly them in and interview them like Coach O is doing.

Interviews are great, but people interview well all the time. Getting detailed reference, more than just a list, also helps

How do you know he didn't? You are taking one comment and painting an elaborate picture with it. Maybe Brady provided a detailed analysis of each coach he was recommending? Maybe lots of different shite happened.

I thought it was Ensmingers offense??? Lol

LITERALLY no one has ever said that. There has certainly been a lot of debate over play calling responsibilities, but it was Joe Brady's offense.
I don't think that's every been in doubt. Orgeron stated from Day 1 that Brady was brought in to implement his offense. There are Ensminger quotes about Brady implementing his offense.

Orgeron said Derek Ponamsky, LSU's special assistant to Orgeron, has been in contact with Brady during the search, hoping to find candidates who can replicate the schemes they ran when the Tigers won the program's fourth national championship.
"Joe, who can run your offense?" Orgeron said Ponamsky asked Brady. "And he recommended me two guys, and they're here with me today."
I have a feeling that this going to turn into a cluster frick if we are trying to find someone to run Brady's exact offense instead of allowing someone to come in and give them the ability to design an offense based on their own knowledge, skillset, and offensive talent

You realize he said Derek had most of the conversations, not all of them right?
Some of yall need to get off the phone and get back to building the scaffolding before someone in admin runs yall off. Stick to what yall know and hiring isn't it.

No one ever said it was E’s offense. Coach O has said repeatedly that Brady brought in the Saints’ offense.
Once he brought in his system, Brady, Burrow, E, Mangas, Munoz, etc. all collaborated and supplemented the offense with plays. They kept what worked, dumped what didn’t.

Because he doesn't know what to ask. He's going to hire them solely because someone else said they are good. So if they can talk the talk and dangle something shiny in the interview, O is going to bite. Because he's doesn't have the knowledge to evaluate their offensive knowledge.
Ummm... he’s bringing those candidates in for an interview to... evaluate and ask them questions.
quote:
Our head coach is so clueless about the offense he wants to run that he is going to swallow whole the recommendation of the guy who used to run it. He's not going to evaluate the candidate's ability himself. Because he doesn't know what to ask. He's going to hire them solely because someone else said they are good.
You invented all this.

What other coach in D1 football is utterly so incompetent at Xs and O's that he has to rely exclusively on the opinions of others to tell him who to hire?
Nevermind. You’re obviously retarded.

bullshite. All the Ensminger sunshine pumpers told us before the season started that we would see no offensive coaching drop off because the OC was still here. The Ensminger crew has always said it was his offense and Brady helped.
Posted on 1/5/21 at 12:13 pm to adamb2151
You are arguing two totally different things.

Anyone who said this is a moron and you're a moron for giving it any credence. Even the most sun shiniest pumper of them all, Pirate King, wouldn't have thought this.
