Harbaugh does not help your case. He's won everywhere he's been a HC. And he did it starting at the bottom.

The argument was about being a specialist on one side of the ball. Keep up.

Its a record that we have never done in the history of LSU playing SEC football. Unless you think that Missouri is the worst SEC team we have ever faced, that is still a huge deal. It baffles me how people like you will diminish such a huge accomplishment by LSU.

because it's meaningless. having a bunch of yards vs a bad team means literally nothing in the long term.

It's a nice accomplishment. It does not qualify O to be our head coach

It wasn't just a bunch of yards. It was a RECORD.

How does that help your case for Coach O? He is not a defensive specialist. He does bag drills with D-linemen.

Nevertheless he got an opportunity. My point about Harbaugh (and someone else brought up Meyer) is that when you do get that chance to jump up from position coach to HC, you better make it count, and Orgeron failed spectacularly.

that's wonderful, but we didn't do anything out of the ordinary. We cleaned up a few things and ran it down their fricking throat.

If miles was coaching and we won like that he'd be yelling that we didn't work on the passing game

I mean we did do things that made it easier to run the ball instead of slamming into a wall but everyone in the world knew we needed to do that aside from Les' dumbass

So an offensive record for a team that sucked at offense for years is meaningless to you?

One game is meaningless in a coaching search, yes.

Mizzou and Texas Tech are about on par with each other, and had about the same Offensive performance.

What I took away from that game is that Miles was holding the team back. I don't know how much Coach O had to do with how they looked, or that some other coach couldn't have had the same results.

I don't understand why so many people are so quick to write O off as the head coach at LSU. Yes it was one game against Mizzou, but it was a hell of a game on a short week. We looked better than we have in 4-5 years. I'm not anointing Coach O just yet, but if the team continues to improve as drastically as they did in one week and win 5 or 6 more games then I don't see why we should disregard his accomplishments and bring in Herman just because he's the hot name right now. Let's just wait and see.

Jesus dude I was arguing against the notion that you have to be some top DC/OC to be a great HC.
