The quote in reference: “On3 reported earlier this week that Ole Miss administrators, including athletic director Keith Carter, are seeking an answer from Kiffin on his future before the start of game week for the rivalry matchup with Mississippi State next Friday in Starkville. Sources told On3 that Carter and Kiffin are scheduled to meet this Friday. The players return to campus and resume practice on Sunday.”
Not sure this means anything one way or another.
Edited: I think this may be Ole Miss last push to keep him. Supposedly $40M (holy shite) for NIL.

I always thought this was going to end before game week started for Ole Miss. I was expecting tonight through Saturday morning. I think if it goes past there, Ole Miss feels good about him staying.

This is how I feel as well. I think that longer it goes the worse it is for Ole MIss. This is too much of a distraction that he could have ended a LONG time ago. I can see fans, players and administration getting fed up with this quick.
