We averaged 28.1 points per game this year.

Which ranked 72nd in the nation. So there were 71 teams that scored more points per game in the nation than LSU. Yet bizarrely, there is some strange line forming to fellate Canada into staying, all because we managed a whopping 300 yards and 10 points in a 14-point loss to a Bama team fielding its worst defense in 10 years.

For me, I'd like Canada to stay, but you do make a good point about our scoring offense.

But, I think we left a lot of points on the table this year with some missed opportunities and red zone failures. I would expect (or hope) the offense, in year 2, will be much more efficient in scoring.

While I'm not in love with the offense, I did see some creativity in it and I do think it keeps defenses on their toes. I also thought his play calling was pretty good.

Another positive, was that we had very few pre-snap penalties, despite all of the movement and shifts.

Now, I'm not about to fellate the guy to get him to stay, but if given the choice of keeping him or bringing in someone else, I'd probably vote to keep Canada.

But according to O defenders, things like this and the A&M route point to a coach that adjusted and did better after a shaky start.

If the sonofabitch wants the job, let him have it. We can find someone else.

We scored more points snapping the ball directly to our RB on one play than we did the entire rest of the game snapping to our QB.

After witnessing our other QB options in some scrimmages and knowing our history of identifying and developing the QB position, I was and am convinced that Danny Etling is our best option. Kid is the best we got and I'm not going to hold his limitations against him. It is what it is.

But I fail to see how I can fault Canada here either. He wasn't responsible for the roster. It was even fairly well known that his success was on the play calling side with capable, already developed QBs. Add to that O meddling in something he has no business doing.

To make matters worse, I am also confident that O knows the bind he is in. He doesn't have the QB he needs or the OC who can develop him. He has to find that kid that doesn't need as much development and possesses the athleticism to keep defenses honest. If he gets that kid, Canada could probably call a great game.

I've read your posts for years on here, so I know you are very well aware with your football knowledge just how handicapped our offense has been due to the inability to trust the QB position.

And that is mostly because of our QB situation.

But if Canada wants to leave, he don't give a shite about LSU - the program that gave him 1.5 mil as a minimally proven OC. Get out of here with that shite.
There's a problem somewhere with Canada, as he never stays more than a year anywhere.

Where there's smoke, there's fire. (And I don't mean Tolliver's ride)

If he seeks greener pastures elsewhere yet again, I hope he takes JG and MJ with him on the flip side out........

The Nicholls coach is more likely to get it. Starting salary expected to be 1.2 million...a pay cut for Canada.

another moron who does not know what he watches or understand concepts. hey billy that was a pass huh? hey billy that was a run huh? we had not so great WR, OL and Qb play all year. first year implementing it and we still ranked 53 i beleive in total offense. it is not terrible. but yeah let's go back to playing in a phone booth like miles and only using 2/3 of the field when we do pass. idiot.

28 points a game is bad? really? you prove my points is all you can look at is rank. hey ya know that so called great offense we had in 2013 where mett threw for 3k? hill ran for 1k? and jarvis and OBJ each had 1k each? remember that dipshit?

IT WAS RANKED in the MIDDLE OF THE SEC! MEDIOCRE! now did it look mediocre to you? it was 35th nationally. we were 53 this tear with 412 yards a game. TERRIBLE AMIRITE? especially for SEC since most defenses suck?

I think Canada is pretty meh. Either way it's obvious coach O is intent on getting him out.

Damn you people are dumb.

Freeze was forced on O by the boosters (Tuhoy et al) that brought Oher to Oxford.

They are not friends. Not even a little.
