Boy for your sake I hope you’re right and your sources aren’t leading you on. Because Jordy and T-Bob are adamantly saying that the search is over and it’s Ensminger, It’s always been Ensminger

Yep. Listening to them now too. I'm hoping that this is just them doing their usual O/DP shill song and dance.
ETA: T-Bob is adamant that it is Ensminger. Says 95% that it's him.

If true, then next name up needs to be damn good. I'm ok with Gilbert. Maybe the cat from OkSt too. I don't know what's going on up there at the top but it appears that CEO knows he needs to make a splash and hire someone with a new, fresh philosophy. Gilbert is the best next option. Briles power spread concepts without baggage. Cumbie comes from Leach tree and is more of an Air Raid system but he has adapted to running the ball more just like OU and Riley did.

I personally don’t thing Gilbert would be a good hire. He didn’t develop any of the young quarterbacks at Texas.
I also don’t think Cumbie coming here only because Texas offered him double his current salary last year and he said no thanks.

It really needs to be Sterlin Gilbert. Last year before we hired Canada, and K. Briles name came up, I said the same thing being said here. Same offense, no baggage. Gilbert would be a great hire.
However, no matter who gets hired, they will never succeed as long as O keeps interfering in the offense. This is just Miles 2.0, hard headed and refusal to change. Alleva has to go, so we can get an AD with vision, to hire the right coach.

He only had 1 year at Texas and the offense definitely improved from previous year Texas problem in 2016 was defense.
