For the record I’m not a fan of this. I attended Baylor during Briles era and am a fan of spread evolution.

Info I’m getting is boosters who are paying for all the buyouts want Ensminger. This could be wrong but it’s what I’ve heard. ???
He is from Springtown, Tx near Fort Worth coached at UH with Briles, Temple HS north of Austin and San Angelo in West Texas
He only had 1 year at Texas and the offense definitely improved from previous year Texas problem in 2016 was defense.

Gilbert is the best next option. Briles power spread concepts without baggage. Cumbie comes from Leach tree and is more of an Air Raid system but he has adapted to running the ball more just like OU and Riley did.

He is a Briles guy as well, Was GA under AB in Houston and Was with Phillip Montgomery in Tulsa (Another Briles protege) and with Dino Babers (Another former Briles assistant) at Eastern Illinois and Bowling Green.
