Briles has been goven a firm "hell no", man.. It wont happen.

And Orgeron wants "his guy", you know? I imagine he went with Briles because Kiff steered him that way.

The Chaney stuff is silly. He is the oc of a team in the nc game. He either wins a title and Uga ain't letting him go or he gets 21-0ed and proves saban won't lose to that type of oc

Yes. If the objective is to catch up to and defeat Bama, we have to start utilizing the pass and by god THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD.

Which is briles.

You build a team to beat bama which in turn is how you win the west and sec

Gilbert runs the same system. He’d thrive in Cumbie’s as well. They utilize the same passing scheme. What differs is the run game. Gilbert/Briles adapted to the Meyer/Malzahn run game which uses a wing back and sideline to sideline WR spacing to isolate the box.

If OP is true, I look at this and see that we’re building a credible OC list, and not taking a Briles, Freeze, Ensminger approach. Like.

If this is true then I hope the SJW’s enjoy themselves when another SEC team with balls makes the hire.

Would you be OK with hiring McQueary?

Briles is a very credible OC. Hes also worked with the best. That was my number one. But theyve moved on as of 6AM this morning. Thats when I got my text.

Credible as in we’re not panicking after our first option falls through like we did with O to clarify.

I hope you're right. Btw I know you caught some shite last night from a few posters, but you seem to have good information and we appreciate all the insight. Keep us posted

From what you've said, it sounds like Alleva doesn't even want to go with Ensminger and would like a bigger name. That'd be a good sign. Along with the info that Ensminger doesn't even want the job and/or is asking too much.

I'd be happy with Gilbert. He's been a successful OC everywhere he's been and typically is the QB coach as well. He's also been very capable of building a solid run game. If you look at his numbers at his last 3 gigs at USF, Texas and Tulsa they are very impressive. He's young (39) and is likely only going to get better.

Cumbie would be better than Gilbert in my opinion. More success as a co-coordinator/coordinator. Gilbert is good and way better than what we have had.

I would still call Yurich at OK St and make him tell me no. Then call again with more money. According to a poster yesterday, his salary is $600k. To me, is would be the #1 call.

Maybe their agents will reach out to us!

I only caught shite from one. And hes in this thread .

Heres the deal. It doesnt bother me if im not believed. I was skeptical of his info myself. He told me after we lost to wisky that LSU was moving to fire Miles and I thought "no way they do it mid season" and sure enough they did.

I was late on the Briles info however. It seems tigerbaitlawyer and Random knew he would fall through well before I did. All I found out was what we went throigh to try to hire him and why he fell through.

The weak side of the fanbase that doesnt want us to innovate.

Agreed. I'm at the point where I want just about anyone but Ensminger. It's only partially that I don't think the answer - the other part is that promoting him would just signal what we all fear - that the administration isn't serious about winning. If they go out and get a big (or even medium sized!) name, I will at least be confident that they are somewhat invested.
