He more than most needs a without a doubt homerun hire or as close as nearly possible. Major isn't that.

I think it certainly needs to immediately ring a bell and instill in the minds of fans that "wow this is something to look forward to." It's really the only thing they have left.

our insiders are now bought and paid for with the current regime. What we hear is what they'll want us to hear. For fricks sake we have a former morning DJ answering facebook messages about who is and who is not on our OC list. This whole thing feels like a terrible dream

I'm amazed that more people aren't more upset about this. I just about lost it over this weeks ago.

if only major would have brought home a state title for his hometown bears, he'd be loved more here.

Yeah he does, even down to who his money guys are when he starts a business so that it isn't fully his capital at risk (and the businesses are usually so good he's doing a solid for those money guys)

He's in with 247 for multiple years tho, even after the sale. He's got financial incentive to see them do really well. I do think he moves in to something else at 3-5 year mark, but don't think it is recruiting related.

Pretty sure Applewhite can't be employed by Texas until the Kearney lawsuit is resolved one way or another.

After all, the preferential treatment he was given is a key part of the lawsuit.

Perhaps rolling out the welcome mat for Applewhite was part of the terms of Herman accepting the job at UT.

LSU has the worst insiders. Their homerism sets the fan base up for disappointment.

LSU insiders are batting .085 over the last decade.

well, I think Herman would be at LSU if Strong won the last two games of the season...Just like I think Jimbo was coming last year until the President nixed the idea.

so plans can change in a hurry.

no he doesn't fit the criteria because he's largely unproven on his own.

actually if you take LSU actions (not words) as a sign of our intent then that means he fits perfectly

must be why Culotta was back tracking like a son of a bitch regarding Kiffin. He was emphatic for weeks if O gets the job, Kiffin was locked in too.

Now he was "well I gotta believe O never made guarantees regarding Lane. In fact, I know other names are on the list."

I thought I heard him introduced on the radio last week as "the director of football operations"? Is that right how is he possible qualified for this he is a radio DJ and an outlaw steam boat captain ... this is some first class Louisiana bullshite right here ....
