This is such a smokescreen, to keep the focus off who LSU really is going after. Admin is working hard to avert everything they did wrong with Jimbo last year. Will not repeat that same mistake. Notice the very first word in the paragraph, IF?

1st, O isn't getting the job

2nd, O wants admin to believe that if we beat Bama, then we're going to turn around and throw $$$ at the guy we just beat, with an interim coach? Yeah, that's sound reasoning

3rd, the other OC in play for coach O is Briles.

4th, locking in recruits isn't even in play for O, because if he were to leave LSU, he wouldn't end up at an elite enough program to pull anyone with him. And the coach that LSU is bringing in will pull in his own notable recruits

Its just a distraction, and Random is just helping LSU burn the tires

Hope you are right. I don't give the decision makers that much credit though.

Orgeron is playing Alleva like a fiddle. He knows how easy it is the make him his bitch

But Orgeron is a big dumb coonass and Alleva is a graduate of prestigious Lehigh U. How can this be?

Orgeron is playing this lovable coonass card and Alleva is eating it up. And I also said why Alleva would want this. It will less likely jeopardize his job since all the dumbass fans wanted him and if he fails, you can't be mad at him and ask for his firing.

How people actually believe kiffen would do this is blowing my mind right now.

Not hard to do. I mean, you stated Matt Rhule would need a bigger coaching gig prior to being hired at a program like lsu. However, you Ride4Herman. Rhule coaches in the same conference as herman and has been a h.c. longer than herman. Now, that is pretty mind blowing.

What if the administration learned from last year and knowing that people need some type of info they are leaking false data.

This is not a knock on the posters, it just could be the source of all this info is putting out smoke while the "real plan" is being worked....

Then again Aleva and the boosters could all be a bunch of idiots who didn't learn crap from last year's mess!!

Maybe you're right. I have zero problem keeping everything I hear to myself. I thought I was doing a service.

If Random H knows anything from "sources" this whole thing is a mess. The only way to successfully manage a hire like this is to NOT tell people the plans over lunch.

Relax Nancy I don't think this LSU team is beating the gumps this year. But the could go 3-1 and O still get the job. So I think this will still play out until the end of the season. IHMO.

Random is correct. Do you take your clothes off and run around in a banana hammock like Penny Packer?

Leaving currently the best program in college football to coach the same position for any other team would be a downgrade.

Not when your current employer yells at you like you're a child on national TV.

It absolutely would be but don't tell some of these LSU fans. They put to much value into "relationships " in the coaching circle
