Blake Ruffino said he is fine with Brick Haley being LSU’s next DL coach.

Sure, Blake, let’s just bring Bradley Dale Peveto back and fire up the grill.
Last time I’m listening to this guy after that scorcher, and I’ve only started listening to him since the coaching search began for any Lane news. Oof.

People who always only bring up previous lsu coaches as replacement options I just assume don’t actually watch a lot of college football outside of lsu. Lazy take for a supposed sports journalists

Danielle Hunter’s career should end any discussion of this

Yep, always trying to bring up names who coached at LSU 10-20 years ago because thats all they know.

Thought that was wild as well when I heard it. Wasn't Brink the DLine coach with Hunter that had Hunter talking about never being shown pass rush moves when he got to the NFL lol. Our defense was elite but dline left alot to be desired.

Someone asked him in a super chat.. not like he just pulled CBH out of thin air

He could have easily just said “No, that would be a horrific decision. Did you watch that era of play under Brick Haley? It was atrocious.”
I never said he recommended Haley.

Seems like someone asked him a question on his thoughts about bringing Brick Haley back as D-Line coach, and he answered by saying he’d be fine with it if that’s the decision Kiffin made.
Or was he promoting Brick Haley as the #1 D-Line coaching option himself, as his own preference?

I’ve been listening to Ruffino for years. He is the best on LSU but that doesn’t mean you will like his feedback. He said all these items first and was right. On the Haley request, it was a super chat so not a deep analysis.
All LSU historians remember, Haley could recruit but not develop but that was back 10 years ago. Has he improved?
Ruffino Takes:
* Nuss bus has not improved 2024 nor 2025
* Oline will not be able to run the ball in 2024 and overall sucks in 2025. Gooden is killing Thompson
* Jaden Daniels 2023 early camp is cooking the defense. They have no answer and the dbacks are terrible. No help in the way.

People like to always mention the Hunter catastrophe but he wouldnt be coaching edge rushers. So Im not real sure what the issue would be. Wasnt he also who coached the majority of the great DL's we had under Les like Pep Levingston, Michael Brockers, Drake Nevis, etc?

Can't take BR for more than a few minutes when his yelling into the mic finally wears me down. And it takes him 5-6-7 minutes to get into any real meat of information.

Hunter isn't really a great example, Hunter did what the scheme asked of him here
Now there were several that came out during haley's run where their NFL coaches were shocked at how little technique they knew once in the NFL
Al Woods is a nice example, everyone thought that guy was a giant bust...dude is still playing in the NFL
