Big shakeup in BR area HS Football coming

There’s lots of seemingly credible rumblings that David Simoneaux is being offered $100K+ to take over for Central. I know he’s coached there before (OC for several years under Sid). While I get that he has ties there, I find it hard to believe that Catholic High isn’t a better job, BY LIGHT YEARS, than Central. He’d have to just be in it for the money to make that jump. I will say though, I’ve heard from some acquaintances in the Catholic High community that he’s not nearly as loved as the former 2 coaches, but he’s also a different type of coach than those guys. Also, if Central just fired Sid, why would they want a person who’s coached for him in the past taking the reins? This could cause a lot of far reaching ripples in the area if this seemingly strange move were to come to fruition…

I'm not in the know on this stuff but could/should Catholic try and get Weiner from Dunham the next time they have an opening?
Just going off the fact that he's been successful and his dad coached the bears for such a long time. Not sure if either side would have interest.

Public schools offer better salary and retirement benefits than CHS can
Weiner has no interest in CHS job, he will be a Dunham lifer

not a hs insider by any means but why does it seem like hs football coaching in BR is just one big circle of dudes just trading jobs with each other?

Quit clicking on the board if you hated high school so much that you cant bear to read about the professional decisions of adults.

It's HS football. $100k to be a coach seems to be damn good money. I would "just be in it for the money" too if I could significant increase my salary as a HS coach.
This isn't pro, or even major college football where a multi-millionaire HC gets a job offer that might make him a slight more multi-millionaire. $100k to be a HS coach in the BR area seems like a pretty big salary relative to the HS coaching market.

DS is a fish out of water at CHS. It’s NOT a good fit - personality wise, system wise, and organizational wise.
He’s country and needs to coach in the country.
I could see Chad Mahaffey at CHS

I don't think he "fits" at Catholic.
If he can take more money plus better pension benefits plus a better fit, why not?
If he's coached at Central already, he might have a few years into the pension anyways

What is the right fit for Catholic? Not who but what characteristics?

I've never been happier to have moved out of BR than I am after clicking on this.
