I don't think anyone knows anything...including the "insiders" on this board. We know Fisher will be playing both sides as he doesn't want to burn any bridges and he will get the best deal.

My personal opinion is that he stays. I think he has legit interest in LSU but I don't think the timing is right for personal/professional reasons. I could see him at LSU after Saban retires.

Agree Fisher has played it well in public so far. Part of the reason I am optimistic LSU gets him is also the same reason why I think Herman is a virtual lock for Texas. It's about fit and where you want to be and I get a sense he has a desire to be at LSU.

.... I haved moved up my proabaility meter to 90+% Jimbo is headed to Baton Rouge.

His "non-statement" is consistent, based on what I have observed over the past 20 or so years with someone who is leaving.

It looks good for us... my only concern is that we have the sack to ante up for $7M + extras + raise for Aranda + alimony for Miles.

Could he be keeping options open to negotiate for a raise.

Jimbo has a huge 30 million dollar buyout and will be a rich man if he stays at Florida State. Does not have to worry about getting fired and being in the poor house.

I just cannot see LSU offering a huge buyout and if so we need to fire our AD for offering.

If Lsu wants a shot at jimbo they will have to pay a long term contract with a big buyout that's a given

He certainly would not be the first coach to use LSU for a raise. Jimbo will squeeze every dime out of our bafoon of an AD. He our AD really thought Miles would go to Arkansas and have him a raise. I say Alleva will mess up this hire.

Ocean, I agree with you.

Well, those who know, ain't talking and those who are talking don't know. (That's my premise in virtually all coaching searches.

The reason I think he is going, and I very well could be wrong, is he flirted with LSU last year and got some nice perks for him, his staff, and the program last year. Not sure he would want to play that game two years in a row. At some point, FSU would just call his bluff and say, "If you wanna go, we wish you all the best."

I'm just thinking that he wouldn't want his players distracted this week with all the rumors swirling.

But, I'm wrong far more often than I'm right.

If you forced me to guess right now, I would say:

Jimbo to LSU
Herman to TX
Miles to Purdue
Fleck to ND
Fedora to FSU
Chip Kelly to Oregon

But, after the first two, the rest are just guesses and will probably change in the next couple of days.

Listening to comments and reading between the lines I now have zero faith in Alleva and the other powers that be pulling this off.

Such an important hire...but too much dysfunction at the top.

gundy is a fricking boss who would be considered elite if he wasn't at a 2nd tier program.

he's my number 3 for lsu.

This.

I just wonder why FSU continues to put themselves through this.

He is going to be making a lot more money next year. Where he is depends on who has the deepest pockets.
