I've been melting for the last week but I'm happy with the hire. Think Harsin could do good at Auburn, I'd grade the hire a B and maybe a B+ if he puts together a good staff.

Apparently, Boise State fans weren't too thrilled with Harsin. Of course he succeeded Chris Petersen who set standards that was almost impossible to live up to.

He isn't from the Saban tree, which ironically has never beat Saban. If true, our AD killed it.

I think he has a lot of potential. I’m just pointing out that people on here are shitting on him like every other coach didn’t have to start somewhere.

i just checked Phillip Marshall's twitter he's been covering Auburn for like 30 or 49 years.

The way the search was trending, Harsin is a good hire. He is a very good coach. He may need to load up on some good recruiters on the staff, but that is essentially what Gus did.
He's done nothing but win and came up under Chris Petersen. He was the OC and play caller of that Boise team that beat OU in the Fiesta Bowl. Just happy he's not Steele or Bill Clark.

There's a lot more to just having good coaches. You're a Longhorns fan you should know what I mean. Harsin is a good coach but he's a not fit for AU. He doesn't fit the culture and he certainly doesn't make sense from a recruiting standpoint. That's why y'all at Texas keep sucking you can't figure it out. The problem is your program itself. You could have Saban over there and he'd probably fail.
You need the right fit not just a good coach for a program. This is a risky hire that's either boom or bust. Hell of a lot better than who was being advertised.
