Says LSU is making an "aggressive push" to hire Notre Dame's Brian Kelly.
Don't think this guy is a good fit, but I'm willing to be wrong.

LSU is making an "aggressive push" to hire Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly as its next head coach, sources tell The Athletic. Kelly, who took over in South Bend in 2010, is the winningest coach in Fighting Irish history, has made a pair of College Football Playoff appearances and has Notre Dame in the mix again this season.
Note how this is a new aggressive push, not some deal in place for weeks.
More. Note the bold:

Kelly, who took over in South Bend in 2010, is the winningest coach in Fighting Irish history, has made a pair of College Football Playoff appearances and has Notre Dame in the mix again this season.
The Tigers were rumored to be in play for several coaches who inked elsewhere, including now-USC head coach Lincoln Riley. But Kelly, whose 263 career wins are the third-most among active FBS head coaches behind only Alabama’s Nick Saban and North Carolina’s Mack Brown, would be a big hire for LSU.
Expectations are high at LSU, where its previous three head coaches have each won a national title: Saban in 2003, Les Miles in 2007 and Ed Orgeron in 2019.

Why would LSU pursue Kelly?
Brody Miller, LSU beat writer: Brian Kelly absolutely checks the box of the splash hire people have come to expect from Scott Woodward, with Kelly being one of the winningest coaches in college football. Sources tell The Athletic that LSU reached out to Kelly very early in the search but after some thinking Kelly told LSU no. Now, after the Riley situation, LSU's push continues.
He knows how to run an elite program. He knows how to hire a great staff (an important caveat after the last few years under Orgeron), and he adds the exciting appeal boosters and fans want. It also doesn’t hurt that five-star LSU quarterback commit Walker Howard is closely considering Notre Dame, too. Plus, Kelly has landed a Louisiana commitment in five of the last seven recruiting classes, so he does have ties to the area. Still, he’ll need to assemble a staff with strong southern recruiting connections. All in all, though, he gives the program an elite program builder. It’s something LSU arguably hasn’t had the last two hires. So Kelly could get this rolling.

Why would Kelly leave Notre Dame?
Pete Sampson, Notre Dame beat writer: Brian Kelly leaving for LSU would be a shock move for a coach finishing his 12th season at Notre Dame after finally getting the job almost exactly how he wants it. However, sources have told The Athletic that Kelly believes Notre Dame can do more in facilities and mental performance, which would include brick and mortar upgrades to the Guglielmino Center. It's not clear the Notre Dame administration would back such investment, at least immediately.
LSU’s interest in Kelly has Notre Dame’s attention enough that those close to the head coach are sounding out his intentions. There's a belief that he wants to remain at Notre Dame.

Which makes me wonder what we been doing the past 6 weeks?
We had to be all in on LR. No other way to explain it.

Can you stop shite posting and use your brain?
Did you notice how the tweets about Riley to USC were worded? "Expect USC to make a run at Riley..."
After the fact, it's obvious Riley and USC had been talking for a long time.

I think it was Jimbo initially, then they wasted some time looking into Tucker because of Tate, and then shifted to LR. That’s where their time has been spent.
