We hired better, tbh.

I hope O interviews alot of candidates. To see different peoples opinions on defenses and hires the best person available for the job. No need to come out and explain everytime someone isn't hired. I know if I was a hc and my 4 to 5 mil dollar a year job is on the line then I would would do my due diligence and ask everybody I knew and interview 10 people if I had to.

I know getting a job at the plant, you have to go through the union, so that’s all you understand.

But hiring a coach is different. Saban hired a guy who was unemployed. They’ve likely been talking for weeks.

Orgeron is doing the exact thing you morons accused him of NOT doing when he hired Pelini.

He’s LITERALLY interviewing all the hot young coordinators in the country.

Chill the frick out.

You don’t know shite.

How do explain Sark hiring his staff while coaching the CFP...yet CEO was literally first in the market for a DC...

Then you can LITERALLY prove it.

You’re talking out your arse...like the rest of us.

So sit down and stfu

He probably wants too much money to leave. What's he making now?

Yes, then O wouldn't let him run his offense the way he wanted to so...

Wont lie, as an opposing fan, I was glad to see Canada leave

Yeah, he’s really been on an upward career trajectory since he left here.

BOB is a good coach and all, but for our offense and players, I would rather have the guys we just hired than a someone who just got his arse handed to him and run out of town despite all that experience.

After getting fired from his last college job. And he isn’t an OC in the NFL- he’s a fricking position coach. Yep. Really headed quickly up the coaching ladder.

Check the career trajectories there. Peetz is younger and on the way up. He’s been an NFL OC candidate and would have had an OC job in the next year or two if not coming here. Canada is older and has done nothing but trend downward since leaving here. And how many coaches on the rise spend seasons out of football? They aren’t remotely on the same path.

Position coaches. While still coaching at Alabama during the CFP over a matter of 2 weeks. O has known since mid November he had to replace his DC.

Thats what stands out to me.

This time he actually had a head start and is still behind

I get he had to wait on freeman but his 2nd and 3rd guys should be lined up. He should have a good idea already whether he likes what they run

I do like that he isn't hiring someone he doesn't mesh with but arnett is a good coach, so it makes me wonder.

Supposedly arnett is very brash. He better get this right

LSU has hired two coaches on offense and is in the middle of interviews for defensive coordinator,

Not sure what other schools have to do with the situation.

Alabama hired an unemployed coach, and Sark hired a couple position coaches.

I don’t see the relevancy.

So, let’s assume his top 3 were Freeman, Nielsen and Arnett.

How could the time frame have been any different?
