There’s one thing everyone from Arkansas who actually knows something, knows. The Walton’s have not been involved in athletics consistently for quite some time, and will not be shelling out money anytime soon.
Bud was very active - since him this children, etc, have been more involved in non sports. I’d chalk this up to BS.
Yes the hunts and Tyson’s will be involved, and Warren Steven’s, but the Walton’s absolutely will not be.

At Penn State, 80% of the conference teams Franklin played were outmatched entirely in terms of talent. At Arkansas, how often will that be the situation?

I'd take Franklin before I'd take Mizzou's Drink that's for sure. The fact anyone even has him on their lips at LSU makes me terrified if that's true.

I’m a realist. Arkansas is an FCS level school now and has been for a while. It’s pure 100% delusion to think we are somehow “above” hiring a guy who was deep into the playoffs LAST SEASON.

The rumor was Walton’s got pissed their choice for chancellor was ignored. Also rumor is they’ve seen the love Tyson got for the Cal hire. Walton’s worried that if a super league is formed they don’t want to get left out cus that could potentially hurt their business college enrollment (we all know successful football helps boost enrollment). It might not be the kids but other Walmart higher ups that are helping. If they pony up idgaf put a Walmart logo in the middle of the field my two cents.
