Even I didn't think it would be a disaster this quickly. I have nothing against O personally, he was set up to fail. It's Alleva who everyone should be gunning for. The day he is gone from LSU will be a glorious day indeed.

You've seen the binder?

Ok, per reports that is what the binder said.

But again, this board has made it almost fact that the binder said Kiffin will be the OC, so...

And I'm not saying everything is rosy and perfect, just that the panic and everything is over sentiment is just a bit much at this point IMO.

By all means, go ahead and jump off the bandwagon. Please stay off if/when we have a good year next year.

A point can be made about Orgeron being a bargain bin hire, but pulling the sky is falling routine and using childlike insults about him and his staff before he's even finished a recruiting class, hired an OC, or coached a game as full-time HC, is just being dramatic.

Also wasn't keeping Aranda a big part of it? So at worst he is 1-2.

You idiots claiming Aranda as a positive realize that he was contracted to stay for the next 2 years right? We had to make him the highest paid Coordinator in the nation just to make sure he didn't jump ship. This is like celebrating the fact that Leonard Fournette didn't transfer last year.

Wasn't the rumor also that O had verbal commitments from coaches??

Clearly just a rumor, but if he didn't have verbals, and if we run with the idea of the O fanboys that Kiffin wasn't in the binder (Just go with it)...

What was the reason that we hired Ed Orgeron again?

Or, better said, did we hire Ed Orgeron because he said "I will hire the best coordinators?"

If so...

Because, as a coach, I walk into interview all the time and say "Meh, I'll hire mediocre coordinators."

What the heck happened in that interview for it to be so amazing that we hired a failed Head Coach? That was a believable angle, precisely because O is a terrible coach and can't coach either side of the ball.

For any "plan" to be legit, it HAD to have some specificity, otherwise this is way worse than we thought.

He could have very easily left.

These are the same guys who hated orgeron to begin with when he was hired as temp and are looking for any validation possible.

Can you imagine exxon fires it's CEO and then has one phone meeting with the CEO of a small independent oil company and tells him to take it or leave it...he says no and bolts for Chevron...so in a show of major strength ExxonMobil says oh yeah? Wharch this...then they hire one of their regional middle managers to be the CEO. LOL

spare me your super fan bullshite. I'd imagine you were spewing the same crap when we hired Johnny Jones and now you're a leader in having him ousted.

I'm not saying O is guaranteed to fail, but things haven't exactly gone smoothly since we made it official.

And that would have gone against one of the things that was considered as an attribute of O right out the gate, even though this would have eventually happened down the road....continuity.

Because his MO in that role is to differentiate from the previous regime as quickly as possible.

He also used that as his political platform for the permanent job and people were too dumb to realize it.

What does anything that's happened so far have to do with making fun of O nonstop, and calling Ponamsky "Fat Goebbels" and other Nazi references?

Just stupid, unfunny, and shouldn't be allowed on this site. Sure as hell wasnt allowed to be said about other coaches/staff before now.

Why are some people so obsessed with regulating the behavior of other people?

O literally hired a Minister of Propaganda, which is what Goebbels was for the Hitler admin. nobody is really calling him a Nazi; they're just using the most famous propagandist of modern history to compare him to b/c that's exactly waht he and his media cohorts are doing. and they call him fat b/c Goebbels wasn't fat

none had a minister of information

I suspect now we are under the 90% threshold of coaches that blew Joe away in the binder
