No, Saban wins because all of the best kids want to play for a great coach. The stacking up of recruits is a side effect of his greatness.
The great coach part comes first, not selling recruits on a bunch of malarkey and catchphrases.

pretty easy decision for Dave, get paid out of the arse, continue to implement your D with our talent, see your stock continue to rise. Going to texas would have delayed that.

Now what are we selling them to stay? One man was able to step in and convince the state to stay. Les made his career off of Saban locking down Louisiana. Did his best to keep it up, but when the product on the field failed to match, it was over. The delusion you can just lock up the state without winning is plain dumb.

ok hold up dumbass...so when it comes to being a head coach we can't include his interim record because as the o haters have said many times "running a program and being interim coach are not the same thing"...but when it comes to recruiting it is different? why? why wouldn't yall say "well his first real recruiting year will be next year when he has had total control of the program"?

Miles at least took the recruits to Texas Do Brasil. A crawfish boil just doesn't seem to have the same ring.
