i do agree that O may slide back into a better hire

...this year

and it still may frick our recruiting this year, which was one of O's primary selling points

but i'm scared as frick for what this says long-term. what happens when Aranda leaves? when Canada leaves?

The prototypical O fanboi sits in his dimly lit bungalow in southern Terrebonne parish, candle light and mosquito zapper combining to shine a glimmering ray of hope onto his Toonces LSU shirt. The seat of his crawfish dripping stained, faded wranglers tightens as Stevie E moves up tOC depth chart, his LSU crocs kicking back and forth with delight. He shuts down his windows 95 desktop as the dial up connection wanes, grabs his Dinardo-era russell athletic LSU hoodie and bounds outside to his gatortail, put-putting all the way down da bayou to celebrate today's news with his podnuh Boudreaux.

His recruiting class will still be better than Miles incoming year, Sabans first year at Bama, and almost every other first year coach.

Canada just seems very meh. Is this year the outlier in an otherwise mediocre career? I was told we were assembling the best staff in America.

I'm gone two days and this happens.

Now, like my travel luck, this is just funny. It was sort of sad before, and there was probably some hope.

Again, the fact that we might luck into Canada SHOULD NOT make anyone feel better. O failed on his assurances/promises/plan. That is what matters. Canada wouldn't really represent the best of the best. Yet at least.

i actually think, esp if we are keeping Ensminger, that he fits

we need to maintain our running game, add some wrinkles, and just improve the passing game by a notch or 2 and we'll be fine. he can do that

And you may get the only offensive Broyles Award Finalist. Seems like he may be the best.

Some of us were absolutely on fire the day O was hired. Didn't know I still had it in me.

That's my feeling. I think for the talent that we currently have, he's the best fit for immediate success. Beyond that, idk.
