Imagine being 19-7 and getting a contract extension We are essentially a Pac12 team at this point.

Kalen DeBoer has a 2-1 record against Auburn and Georgia this season.

0-1 when it counted though.

How are these schools and AD’s so stupid? They fall for it every time!

This is the same university that hired him 4 days after he was in the national championship game, so I can’t say that I’m surprised. Knee-jerk reactions are pretty normal for them.

Great coach. That’s a playoff coach right there.

Jokes aside, I don’t know that this isn’t a good idea for Alabama if he’s threatening to leave. You don’t want him to leave right now because there’s not a lot of crazy good options out there. Yeah he’ll probably get fired within a couple of years. But I don’t know that they want him to go right now.

Yall be ready to run his arse out of town when Oklahoma beats y'all again for the 4th loss of the season. You should keep him though. Not like Saban will unretire or a necromancer to bring the Bear back from the dead. Enjoy mediocrity.

There’s a few on our board but you can look up my history … I loved the hire and am thrilled he is our coach . Not sure we could have done much better with who would realistically leave their jobs, especially after Saban . I like him

DeBeor would be at worst #2 this year, and he has more playoff success than Kiffin on his resume.

People hate on him b/c he's not Saban/Kirby, but nobody is Saban/Kirby.

His agent spread the rumors and a dumb AD gives him a raise. Good for LSU because Lane Kiffin will out coach him all day long.

we had the chance when we hired Deboer, we'll take the better coach that doesn't come with a ton of baggage.

Cant be too careful guys. Better make sure he cant get away. If say 7 year extension, 15m a year with full buyout. Really make it a rock solid marriage

To be fair, Sonny Dykes has the same amount of playoff success and I definitely wouldn't want him.

It will be interesting to see DeBoer in a 3rd year at this level, he's never been anywhere else that long.

Doesn’t DeBoer have the same record through his first two seasons as Kelly did at LSU?
