Miami's new AD is Raakovich, who was previously Clemson's AD.
That still isn’t official, those reports were premature. Supposed to be having more conversations this week but not a certainty at all

He's one of the best in the country.
Very Debatable

Their football budget is about to blow up.
You need more than money and a new coach to fix a program. See UT. Miami is a frickin mess right now

And Cristobal will lock down talent in Florida.
They will need to do a ton of work on facilities to get that done. They are well behind the curve and the SEC is going to keep outpacing the ACC 10 fold, especially if Clemson stays down

This will bring another cycle of "The U is back!!!!".

What a horrible move for him if true. Akin to Frost leaving UCF for Nebraska.
Miami is a shitshow behind the scenes.
I'm sure there were some guarantees in assistant salaries and other facility upgrades.

Both Manny and Christobal have ties to Miami. Think Manny's Dad was mayor.

Probably didn't even give oregon a chance.

That has to be the longest distance a coaching move has ever covered.

Rumor is money isn’t a big consideration. Sure he wants to be back home, especially with his mom being ill. This is good for college football, as the usual suspects have been raiding south fla for recruits.

Who gets Oregon?
Jeff Lebby?
Kiffin at Oregon would be great. Lebby bumped up in Oxford

Mario and UM have been in late stages of negotiations for a deal in $8 M a year range for deal longer than 5 years. Radakovich also expected to join Mario here. UM official expect both to come unless somebody "gets cold feet."

Unless his reasoning is for the nightlife and beaches, id much rather be coach of Oregon. They have upgraded everything and the backing to become an elite program once again. Miami has been thru several coaches and is a dumpster fire.

Mario Cristobal will be the next head coach at the University of Miami, a process I’m told began mid November when conversation about a Manny Diaz buyout began and contingent of UM boosters reached out to Cristobal about coming home to South Florida.

People need to realize he’s from Miami and has a very ill mother there.

If Cristobal goes to Miami, Oregon would do well to poach Kiffin from Ole Miss. He’d be a perfect and actually better fit for them.

One of the most vastly overrated coaches in America.

Absolutely agree but I think Miami at this point is just hoping for recruits and excellent assistant coaches. It's going to be interesting to see what sort of budget they throw at coordinators

SMU hired June Jones from Hawaii.
