Yeah UT will pay a “sorry for partying” fee to Schiano and move on
Schiano as a HC again just took a major detour

We as LSU fans should know

also, wouldnt we think that Currie at least ran the hire through Peyton before making a final decision?
Why the hell would he run it by Peyton? What authority does he have?

Sources close to #Vols AD John Currie tell me he wasn’t aware Greg Schiano coached at Penn State - nor was he aware of the sworn testimony identifying him as having witnessed the abuse of minors - Currie only vetted Schiano’s time from his days at Rutgers thru present day
Damn.
This is Alleva-esque.

Yep. I can't imagine an SEC school hiring a football coach without using a search firm. That would be colossally stupid.
Highly doubt Bama hired a firm for Saban

Their best option right now is to offer Peyton Manning the head coaching job. He has no experience coaching but the fans will be behind him and it will take the attention off of this dumpster fire they have created. Plus I hear Papa John's in doing so good right now maybe he could use the money.

I feel like if there is anything that is to be learned in these coaching searches, it's that money isn't everything.

One was a kid at Penn State.
I assume the second was at Rutgers.

I'm no fan of Joe's but I'm pretty sure he at least looked at Bebe's complete resume.

No way Schiano can still want that job now. They can't just mutually part ways?
If I'm in Schiano's spot and papers have been signed? Hell no. They're gonna PAY me to go away. And handsomely.
