This can't be accurate. Lots of layers of approval after the agreement is reached and no way did they already get all that

Am told UT & Greg Schiano had a understanding of terms & now Schiano’s side is seeking compensation for breaking the agreement off. Wow

If the cause is the Penn State stuff, from what I've read, that's double hearsay. That won't cut it in court.

Sources close to #Vols AD John Currie tell me he wasn’t aware Greg Schiano coached at Penn State - nor was he aware of the sworn testimony identifying him as having witnessed the abuse of minors -

Currie only vetted Schiano’s time from his days at Rutgers thru present day

I’d like to see Schiano try to argue that in court

It wasn’t a final deal if the board of trustees and so forth didn’t sign off on it.

Jimbo didn’t get shite from UAB’s contract offer getting rejected by the Alabama BOT circa 2005.

Oh I’d be willing to bet that this is nothing more than a PR damage control statement. No way in hell he didn’t know. He just gambled on the fans not caring, and he clearly misjudged the community

million dollar organization. Surely they hired firm for that

Yep. I can't imagine an SEC school hiring a football coach without using a search firm. That would be colossally stupid.

Now this is actually a good example of a positive use of google or pretty much any search engine...

Well, he's either an a-hole or incompetent. Take your pick.

I hope Tenn has to deal with somebody like this on Schiano's end:

This has to be one of the more bizarre coaching hires I have ever seen.

I knew Currie was inept, but not this inept.

If they have to pay Schiano 20 million that will suck for Tenn.
