hes not keen on moving that often. hes very comfortable here and is near the end of his career. the money hes getting is the some of the best money youll get as a DC

The reason why he's making so much money is because Georgia and Texas both made a serious run at him. Those were both with buyouts. There's no reason a team like Texas A&M couldn't offer him 4 yrs $1.7M per. No buyout makes it MUCH easier.

Bro did you watch the same game I watched. You guys need quality depth on defense. A&M has some good players on defense but you guys need depth.

I don't know about all that, but he can only improve that D.

It's going to be Venables

I also think it will end up being Venables. People have said Muschamp is the top choice though.

I would say 2 classes. Depth also has to have experience to be truly effective

I'm sure he is, but is he as interested as you are? Venables would be a good choice IMO.

Our depth should improve quite a bit with this next class but I agree, we are probably two classes away from being where we truly want to be as far as defensive depth.

Muschamp not going to A&M. He has made to many comments about A&M while at Texas and Florida.

I see Muschamp heading to South Carolina and taking over after the Ole Ball Coach leaves which could be soon.

Yeah it remains to be seen what he wants to do. I think Narduzzi and Muschamp are the two guys who Sumlin feels like we have to go after and at least be told no. Then we move onto Venables

Venables and Sumlin coached together at OU and I think we would be able to get him. I would be fine with him

He made comments at some pep rally for donors I don't think it's that serious. We're talking about a guy who went to UGA and has coached at UF and Auburn

I will agree with you. I think you guys are 2 classes away.

For those wanting Muschamp you might want to go visit his DC stats while at UT. Never seen a defense give up so many points.

Newsflash - he's not that good.

#1, #3, and #2 in the Big 12 in his three years at UT in total defense LINK

And they were absolutely dreadful on offense in 2010 and the defense was on the field all game all year
