I don't think he's done seeing how far he can get Arizona State.

I’d love Dillingham but I just can’t imagine a guy who is 35 and coaching (very successfully) at his power 5 Alma mater wanting to leave.

Dude makes some crazy faces. Arguing with the refs after the fans had stormed the field is something WW would do

I don't know if he'd win here, but the energy on the LSU sideline would be much different..

If you're going for a young guy in college football I'd go with Dillingham. Unlike Lanning, KD has built something.

He’d leave for more resources and a chance to win a title. Assuming that’s more important to him than coaching at home.

Punchable face is my biggest gripe with him.

It's not about the 7M. He wants to win a NC. LSU can easily match that. There are other factors to consider.

Open up the vault and grab this guy for the next 25 years!!!

Feels like he'll be an NFL guy in 5-10 years if he continues to have success.

Last year was impressive, but he had the second best running back in college football.

This year has been nothing short of disappointing with loses to Mississippi State, Houston, and a blowout loss to Utah. His only ranked win this year is over Texas Tech.

He is also my favorite potential candidate for the job. He’s already done so much at a young age and I like that he’s offensive minded and great with quarterbacks. I’d open up the checkbook for this kid BIGLY if I was LSU. Would be a tough pull though as he’s from Arizona and is currently coaching at his dream school.

I think the difference between a really good coach and a great championship coach is the ability to have a back up come in and have immediate success. The king of doing so was Nick Saban. Lane Kiffin also has a history of doing this and is doing so this season. We want a guy who isn’t going to let injury or inferior skilled player derail the season. Seems like Dillingham is having an “awe shucks” which will get old with this fanbase real quick. I’m sure Dillingham is a great coach and will continue to have success. Will likely have a 10 or 11 win team 2 out of 4 years. That’s not what LSU deserves or wants. This isn’t about a splash hire, this is about winning championships at the level most here expect and want.

Y’all rlly think elite coaches are master miracle workers you need good players to win cmon now lol it isn’t jus his star qb being hurt his star wr and projected first round pick Jordyn tyson has also been banged up that’s fricking hard to overcome

Has great “pros”, what are his “cons”?

Being paid well at his hometown and alma mater for a decent program.

NC aspirations could counter that

I get your point compared to Lanning, but Dillingham is in the middle of year 3; one bad, one great, and this one is meh.

Yes, Leavitt has been banged up this season, but he has only missed one start, and ASU's offense is currently ranked in the 90s in ppg, like LSU's is.

I guess I just don't see the appeal for LSU to go after him right now considering his results have been a mixed bag in such a small sample size.
