Probably true but there will be a loud group calling for him. The adults in the room won’t want kiffin but if the first couple options don’t work out it could gain traction.

He didn’t enjoy the west coach that much? Do you know him personally?
Kiffin hated the West Coast so much he continued to live in Manhattan Beach for a decade after getting fired

Bama will pay whatever it takes to hire the person they want.
That's probably not a good process to hire the right guy
To me the next guy is screwed no matter.
One of the bama podcaster guys said, "I am always going to judge the next coach against Nick, "Nick wouldn't have said that or done that"
thats how it's going to go...
Nick had 17 years of messaging... as soon as they hear something off key, they will pounce!

I doubt Lane would bolt for Oregon if it opened up. He didn't enjoy the West Coast that much.
Where did this come from?
Dude has spent half his career on the west coast.

The 30 million in Nike stock upon contract completion rumor is intriguing and brilliant if true
This sounds more like than the contract buyout is more than 20 mil. The quote from Feldman was along the lines of, "I heard that it's more than the 20 million in the contract". So it sounds like it's something other than just a 20 million cash buyout that was in the contract.

If the Nike stock thing is true, it's not that Bama would have to pay more to buy him out, its more that his salary would have to be compensated for the $30 million hit. Again if true, he signed an extension in 2022 for 6 years worth $45 million and with the $30 million added it was 6 years for 75 million total, or around 12.5 annually if you wanna do it that way. Bama would have to at least match that and make him higher paid than Saban was unless they give him some other options which they might.
All of this is based of an internet rumor and Feldman insinuation though.

No. And given their coaching stability, it’s affordable and not impractical: IF he’s the right hire.
Consider that LSU is still paying off Ed, who just was cut a 5 million dollar check last month.
Bama doesn’t have those kind of liabilities, and hasn’t had those kind of liabilities for 15 years.
