Just seems completely ridiculous to me.

Does it matter to you? Are we up against a salary cap?

If he wins a NC in the next 5 years then yes, he is absolutely worth that.

He's worth what someone is willing to pay. If LSU boosters are willing to pay $12 mil, they should.

All sports contracts are ridiculous. But, the sports print money so it be what it do.

I remember when fans bitched when we made Saban the highest paid coach after he won the NC. He was getting a measly 2 mil a year

It’s not surprising. The demand for coaches who can win is that high.

Doesn’t really matter if he’s just leveraging for a raise from ou

shite Saban's first contract when we hired him sent shockwaves. At the time the only coaches making over 1mil were Bowden, Spurrier, and Stoops.

Now Ed is paying first time coordinators that much

If Mel fing tucker is about to get 10 yrs @ 9.5mm, yes, yes Riley is. Tucker is stringing together 1 good year, with 14 transfers, and a really bad big 10 besides 2-3 teams.

If tucker is worth as much as saban, then yes I'd be okay paying 12 mm to a coach on pace to go 12-2 4 yrs in a row.

Hes lost in the playoffs to bama, burrow, and a uga team that was best team in nation but choked the natty game away. Context matters with the playoff naysayers. Like saying Kirby is a bad coach cause he lost to burrow twice and Saban few times. We'll see what happens in 3 weeks when uga has same roster bama does, if not better.
