So maybe it's Lane, maybe it's not.

What kind of SAUCE is this crap?

I assume he'd have to leave Ole Miss immediately rather than finishing out the season because their fans would revolt.

It wouldn’t work any other way.

If he commits, then finishes out the season/playoffs at Ole Miss, he’s liable to pull the rug out from under us at the last second and leave us hanging…too late to get anyone decent.

I’m sorry, I just wouldn’t put it past him.

Maybe he will choose LSU, Florida, or stay in Oxford.

He has no real sauces. I could have said the same thing and put it on here claiming I knew something. Anyone could have because no crap he will be the HC at one of thoes three. The Media has been saying this

All he said was it was very real stuff was being discussed

It’s fair to think talks could’ve broken down since then

To the extent there were any talks, it was simply Sexton using Saban's name and LSU's desperation get a feel for LSU's temperature in their search for actual, viable candidates.

It doesn't take a lot of in-depth analysis to surmise Kiffin was going to be the top target for other SEC teams. (1) He's in the conference and (2) the other "hot names", Smart, Day, Deboer, Elko, Lanning, Cignietti, were never likely to consider other jobs.

Lane isn't going to make any decisions until Ole Miss is eliminated from the CFP or CFP contention, because he doesn't have to. He can use that time as leverage to force LSU and Florida to bid against themselves in a sense because they ideally want their new HC in place in early December for roster building purposes. Worst case scenario, LSU and Florida simply raise Kiffin's Ole Miss salary sky high. It's LSU and Florida who are going to be put in a box if they want to make a hire quickly after the season ends.

Freeman had a chance to pick LSU as DC and he chose ND. I don’t see that changing.

IMO all Freeman noise is coming from his agent trying to get ND to pay.

I'll start by saying there is basically no chance Freeman leaves ND for LSU, but his past decision is pretty irrelevant. He chose to go work for a head coach, ironically, in Brian Kelly that he thought was a more stable situation over Ed Orgeron who was spiraling down the toilet. The "his wife hated Baton Rouge!" rhetoric is silly and a red herring.

And the reason for the noise is Verge has a great relationship with him and the reason he almost chose LSU originally. And now Verge is AD. I'm sure it's just a courtesy conversation that someone has run away with.

i would not trust lane either if you cannot get it etched in stone now where he cannot back out. NFW am i waiting until he exits the playoffs to get a final answer. we cannot take that chance. if he cannot sign paeprs now making him liable to be our coach now once ole miss is done then move on and find somebody else.

It was obvious the first time he posted.

And be careful following SuperFanDave because he posts in a similar style, a whole lotta nothing!

He started off strong, and made a really good impression that he had sources. Now he's losing his luster. If he really did know shite, he'd post more and hang around in his threads answering questions because no fricking way he gets told the info he's claiming to have been told and doesn't come back with follow up questions. Nobody in their right mind is just going to be told by someone who actually knows what's going on that Nick Saban is entertaining an offer from LSU and not ask more questions, yet all we get from Philly is shite lines like, "that's all I know at this time" or "I'll know more next week" or "I don't know what the number is but it's huge and he didn't immediately say no". frick that. You get told by a true insider that Nick Saban has an offer in hand by LSU and he isn't immediately saying "no" and you don't ask what the number is or what he's waiting on, or even what his concerns about entering coaching again are.

Philly is full of shite.

It’s generally accepted that the only job that could pull Freeman away from ND is Ohio State. And that’s arguably the best job in the country.

A question I have for you or anybody else: how would this play out exactly?

There’s no reason to believe that Lane would wait until OM is done with the playoff.

DeBoer was hired by Bama after coaching in the national title game.

I mean if he made it up or they made it up on a paysite he’s giving you a rumor for free. Be grateful you’re not wasting your money on info that might not be real.
There’s still a chance he has a source and he’s giving you what he hears.
Regardless you come here and get nothing or something to talk about, which one brings you here?

am told as of early this morning there are 3 offers on the table for Lane Florida LSU and Ole Miss. all 3 would make him the highest paid coach in the sport. No not 4.5M more than Kirby or whatever was said earlier. I am also told by people it’s between LSU or OM. I am also told by other Florida is a possibilty too. End of day only lane knows.

I love you. With that being said ALL of this is public knowledge.
