Read East of Eden either last year or the year before for the first time. Was absolutely glued to it and instantly become one of my all time favorite fiction books. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did (assuming you haven't read it). Cathy is a character that is seared into my memory.

It's a critical look at the rise and fall of the USSR. Based on the title, I was expecting more philosophy, but it's mainly history. Good for what it was, but not what I was expecting.
