Yea GRRM confirmed inadvertently that Coldhands is not Benjen. It was on a manuscript for aDwD where his editor asked in her notes on the page if that was Benjen and he wrote back No. I've seen the picture. I'll see if I can find it

A friend of mine told me this copy used to be available to the public at the Texas A&M museum, but someone posted a series of photos of the manuscript on reddit and Random House freaked out and ask Texas A&M to move it to a private.
He said there is a bunch of other ASOIAF/GOT memorabilia in the library too.

I've been thinking Jon - White and Tyrion - Gold was the only obstacle here. What's the name of that company Aegon is invading Westeros with? And Viseryon is Gold and cream-white which just so happens to match young Aegon's hair. Son of a bitch.

Only works if they're all Targ - since I don't think Aegon is a Targ, that eliminates him. Since I'm certain Jon is a Targ, and still not sure about Tyrion, I'm going with Jon SNOW on the WHITE dragon.
These books are really complex and layered, yo.

I'd be willing to bet the house that he is Blackfyre. It just makes too much sense. There has to be a reason that GRRM created the Blackfyre history, and what other major storyline can tie to the Blackfyres? I also don't think it is a coincidence that he is leading the Golden Company (which was founded by the Blackfyres).
Plus I think he would've already been introduced on the show by now if he was destined to be a dragon rider.

As far as the show goes, this is an awesome theory I haven't thought of but is pretty genius. This would be a great way to combine storylines and give the book readers a little shock, while at the same time appeasing them. As a matter of fact, I'm going to be disappointed now if this doesn't turn out

The main thing that bothers me about Benjen is that unlike the other theories, there are no hints. He just up and disappeared and is never mentioned again.
