They deliberately mentioned that his leaving (Oberlyn's sister) for another woman started the rebellion. That other woman? Ned's sister.

So why did old Aery's demand Ned's head as well, after he killed Ned's brother and father? Maybe he planned to join the Targaryen's with the Stark's and take over Winterfell.

Does anyone else feel that people who just watch the show are going to feel lost often during this season?

I read all the books between Season 3 and 4. Getting ready to reread AFFC and DWD again. I think I would be lost if I hadn't read the books. Too much detail in these things and the show is going pretty fast.

Has anyone else thought of how terrible of a mother Cat was to Arya? Really, first off she marries her off to the 22nd son of Walder Frey, who is like the 120th person in line to inherit the Twins. Surely to God even in the circumstances the Starks were in, they could have given Arya a better marriage or had Rickon marry a Frey girl as well. But Cat just didn't give a frick. It is almost literally the worst marriage prospect Arya could have possibly had.

Plus if you think about it, everyone including Cat really thought Arya was dead. Not really a single frick given. She goes into depression over Sansa's state and then she just about kills herself over Bran and Rickon's deaths, but doesn't ever really think about Arya unless she's brought up.

Really the reason she doesn't care for Arya is she is the one Stark who didn't become the person she wanted her to be. Also I think that the fact that she was the only one that resembled Ned and her relationship with Jon made her like her less as well. frick Cat in general.

Great points. Arya is on her own and has been since Ned's death. Only Ned and Jon appreciated her as an individual. And what an individual she has become. My favorite character, by far.
