It just seemed like they were stretching it a little bit. Tywin was a very smart man and I wouldn't think something like that would slip by him. Especially with him quizzing her and making her admit that she knew more than she let on. And that she was highborn and all too
I also wonder if LF doesn't recognize her when he visits

I bet if your best friend in the entire world had a child, and you went 15 years without seeing him, and he was dead, you wouldn't think twice about a 9 year old girl being your servant who looks somewhat like your old friend. It's not as if Arya is a spitting image and personality of Ned. Top it off with the fact that Ned and Tywin have spent as little time as they could possibly stand of each other, and it makes it highly plausible. Trust me, if you weren't looking for it, I doubt you could show me your best friend's daughter that you've never met.

He recognized her, as he saw her in King's Landing. It's not Ned's personality and looks though that made him aware of her. Littlefinger said as much to Sansa.

I've been rewatching all 3 seasons and finished Season 2 last week, so all of this is fresh in my memory. Littlefinger definitely knew it was Arya but was saving that little piece of info for the right moment. He wasn't going to rat her out right then and there to Tywin. Tywin definitely knew she was a highborn because she pronounced "my-lord" as "my lord" rather than "milord" as the commoners say. Plus she knew how to write and read and knew the Targ histories. Tywin even commented that he didn't know "Stonemasons could read so well" but then Arya backtracked and said that she served under Lady Dustin. I'm sure Tywin saw through the bullshite but never probed/interrogated her further about it. But he definitely didn't know she was a Stark, otherwise he would've taken her back to King's Landing and held her hostage with Sansa.

Yeah - the my lord / m'lord dialogue was between Roose and Theon in the book. Good use of it by the show.
BTW - I had the impression Tywin suspects Arya, but answers to his inquiries satisfied him she wasn't. Big big respect for Arya fooling the king lion - a quick study to the game.
There's no way Tywin doesn't know another Stark girl is missing and surely he's keeping an eye out for her. And didn't Tywin see Lyanna at the Harrenhal Tourney? Wasn't he still HOK at that time?
Damn it's good to see the crack flowing again!

I don't Tywin was at the tourney. I think they mentioned at one point that he didn't go out of protest, but that he allowed Jamie to go.

That's what I assumed. But I wasn't for sure. His questioning her repeatedly kind of gave off the assumption that he knew who she was. Like I said it's not really a big deal as those Arya/Tywin scenes made for amazing television.
I just found it a little far fetched on my rewatch

I thought the Arya-Tywin scenes were way better than the Arya-Roose scenes. Maisie and Charles were excellent together.
I'm also looking forward to the Roose-Ramsay-Reek scenes. Those were pure gold in ADWD.
"A peaceful land, a quiet people"
"Don't make me rue the day I raped your mother"
Really looking forward to seeing who they cast for Wyman Manderly and Barbrey Dustin for Season 5. So much is going on under the surface with all of these Northerners.

Tywin wasn't there, Jamie was made a member of the King's guard before the tourney started and then sent back to KL. When Tywin found out he resigned as Hand of the King and went back to the Rock.

Could you picture if GRRM was him??

I'd hope he would choke to death on a fricking lemon pie.

LOL!!
I want him to do a cameo just to hear how pissed off all of us would be, that he's not writing and is acting instead.

He probably practiced his lines across the street from his house in his other house.

Simon Pegg's fat friend would make an awesome Hodor.
Is he too big to be patch face?

Never really thought about it, but that's how I imagine Patchface really.

The fact that he has 2 houses right across the street from each other is...wow. No words for it.
If I ever go to New Mexico I'm visiting the Walter White house and both of GRRM's houses. I'm going to pull a South Park and ask when the dragons are coming. "The pizzas are coming, I promise!"

So has anyone read this The Iron King? (The Accursed Kings #1) George apparently loved this series and was really inspired by it. (I guess that means he knows French, because apparently it's just now being translated to English.) I think I'm going to pick this up next to curb my appetite for Winter.

Have never heard of it and I know next to zero in French. I took Spanish as my foreign language in high school.
I'll definitely look into it since it's being translated into English.
Also, this is a good read, and something that I've never thought about:
Would the WOT5K turned out differently if Jon had been with Robb
