I could see them introducing the Gold Company early as well.
But you think they'll wait until Season 5 to introduce Arianne, Doran, Sand Snakes?

We know Ellaria Sand has been cast. So at least she will be in season 4.

Just finished book 3. I loved how all the story lines ended, except the very end. Catelyn coming back is kind of ridiculous. If the priest can bring people back that have been dead that long then nobody in the band should worry about dying. Ever.

I can't remember if it tells it in that chapter (so I won't spoil it), but there was a rather large price to bring her back. It wasn't as simple as a revival.

I was kind of bummed out when I first heard about Uncat too. But as BluegrassBelle stated, it's not that easy to bring people back to life in ASOIAF. I think Thoros was one of the only few people who could do it; not every Red Priest/Priestess can. Plus Beric died for it.
I think UnCat is going to be put to rest in TWoW; if GRRM plans on wrapping up the story in the next 2 books, I'm sure the body count of alive and undead characters is going to be high. Once the Freys are gone and Cat meets maybe 1 or 2 of her children (I think she's most likely to either meet Arya or Sansa again) then she's going to lose the will to live.

Just got over here to see if you did your daily bump.
I actually found a typo in my ASoS the other day.

I have to do my daily bumps on here
. It's getting too close to S4 to not have this thread on the first page. I imagine once the 15 minute special airs on Sunday that this thread will have a lot more traffic.
All 5 books are on my Kindle and certain quotes will say things such as "2500 highlighters"...I wonder if that's from Kindle readers underlining them?

Rereading ADWD. At one point on the trek north, Coldhands leaves the group to go take care of some "enemies". Bran claims to have seen them as Summer and says they are men of the Night's Watch. Coldhands then returns with meat they cook over the fire and eat. He claims he found a sow and slaughtered it.
Sounds like cannibalism to me.

I just finished ADWD. I'm not even mad. I'm just disappointed. Now to go back and read this thread, which probably has as many words as the next book.

It's like, I want to read the series again (would be 3rd time), but I'm not sure I can handle the depression.

So on my 7th rewatch of season 1. Just watching ep.4 and heard the pronouncement of Aerys as "air-reeees", I.e. Ares - God of War. Always thought it was pronounced Air-ressss

Different characters pronounce words different ways. I noticed Cersei pronounces 'Tyrells' as "Tie-rells" and Tywin and everyone else "Tir-rells" (and that's how I pronounce it). I also wonder is Sansa pronounced "San-sa" or "Sahn-sa"? I always hear the latter in the show but figured it was because they're all using British accents??So as an American would I pronounce Sansa as "Sahn-sa" too?
I started a rewatch of the series last Friday and am already on S2 E3. Maybe not a super fast rewatch but then again the season doesn't start for 2 more months. I could easily rewatch it 4 more times by then.

Anybody else think a blond Tom Hiddleston would be a perfect Rhaegar?
Just had the thought because he looks a lot like the guy who played Viserys and he won't be in the next Thor movie. Let's just call it a lock.
