And I just have the sickest feeling after reading something in a "things that have been foreshadowed" thread on Westeros.org.

Jon, when still in Winterfell, says something to Arya that just made something click for me:

"The longer you hide, the sterner the penance. You'll be sewing all through winter. When the spring thaw comes, they will find your body with a needle still locked tight between your frozen fingers."

If Jon ends up being AA is it possible that Arya becomes his Nissa Nissa? It's clear that they love each other (non-Lannister) very much.

Yeah I want to go throw up now. That would absolutely break my heart if it went down that way.

ETA: Yes, I'm clinging to the hope that Jon's joke was just a joke and not foreshadowing.

frick that would suck. What if he killed her accidentally after she learns how to change her face?

I said this in another thread. It's probable that it's possible.

There's been some other interesting foreshadowing-esque comments too that gives me some hope for Arya and the Starks. Ned tells this one to Arya in GoT:

"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives. Summer is the time for squabbles. In winter, we must protect one another, keep each other warm, share our strengths."

Makes me think they end up meeting up in some shape or form.

There's also a comment to her from Jon when he's leaving that says something to the effect of their roads are different but will likely end up at the same castle (he uses castle specifically). Possibly Castle Black?

I would be absolutely devastated. I mean crushed. Her, Jon Snow, and Tyrion are the three that depending on how they went out could make me give up the series all together.

BTW, I was also reading about Jon's dream of the crypts at Winterfell and think it could have some dual meaning.

quote:

“He dreamt he was back in Winterfell, limping past the stone kings on their thrones. Their grey granite eyes turned to follow him as he passed, and their grey granite fingers tightened on the hilts of the rusted swords upon their laps. You are no Stark, he could hear them mutter, in heavy granite voices. There is no place for you here. Go away.He walked deeper into the darkness...They are feasting in the Great Hall, but I am not welcome there. I am no Stark, and this is not my place. "

It makes me think one, that it's even more evidence of the R+L = J because male children born take their father's house and sigil. Not their mother's. Two, he's not supposed to be there yet. Maybe some foreshadowing that he survives the ol' Marsh kniving?

Oh and there's a good one regarding the attack too. Littlefinger eating a pomegranate when talking about betrayal to Sansa foreshadowed the Old Pomengranate, Bowen Marsh, betraying Jon.

If true it's possible that a lot of the people and things done in history could in fact be Brans doing?????

He can warg into the weirwoods and know their memories. Even if he were to actually "go" to different times via the weirwoods, the weirwood trees don't do anything. They are observers. So no, he would not have done anything in history.

Well, I'm not sure it portends a reunion as much as forshadows their seperations and impending demise.

Certainly the wolves are split and have suffered greatly. Hopefully they will reassemble and somehow return to prominance.

As said, Jojen dreams the wolves come back together. Also, when Martin was originally planning it on becoming a trilogy the name of the last book was to be A Time for Wolves. He's always pretty adamant that the end game hasn't changed but has instead been prolonged.

I think it happens. Hopefully it does before all but a couple get killed off.

AH, I forgot the first and never knew the second. This makes me feel a little better about the ending...

Anyone else think the Boltons/Freys in the North will be of minor significance? IMO, I don't see anyway they win because that leaves them to deal with the wights & walkers which would be retarded. I think Stannis & co. crush them somehow, Davos returns with Rickon, and THEN all hell breaks loose. I think we see stability before everything gets crazy, and that really renders the Boltons and Frey pies as pretty insignificant.
