Also, I'm pretty sure its mentioned with Dany, I remember Missandei saying that the translation can be prince or princess.
I know it would be tolkien-like (Good v. Evil) if Jon kills the NK, but Arya just doesn't make sense.
Here's my thoughts, I miss the grey zone in the previous seasons. For example, I miss being conflicted over a character like Jamie. The only 'grey zone' that exists is Jon and Dany's future for the throne, which will most likely be resolved.

Is this thread for book reader's only or not? Not sure what the last few replies are about but they seem to be coming from the show.
I'm fine either way but if TV show discussion is part of this thread I just won't visit.

As far as I'm concerned, NOTHING would be more in-line with GRRM's mission statement about "turning fantasy tropes on it's ear" than presenting a well-fleshed out prophecy, dropping hints about it (bleeding star, salt & smoke, Jon's death/ resurrection) possibly happening, and then...it doesn't happen at all or not at all as it was expected.
This mega-melt over "muh Arya" is puzzling to me, but I am happy to see you-know-who chose to have it elsewhere.
Also...has it been confirmed that "Fire and Blood" sheds any light on Summerhall? I have a copy but haven't cracked it yet.
(Just looking for a YN answer to that, thanks)

No, it doesn't. This one was a part 1 of two. The book ends after the Dance with Dragons.

Same here. I was really tempted to buy fire and blood or whatever but told myself that motherfricker isn’t getting any of my money until ASoIaF is finished.
Also saw a wild cards book on sale on Amazon $1 and passed on it for the same reason

It does make sense, based on nothing else besides marketing. The demand for the book would be at it's highest as soon as the series is done, and that would put the release right around Christmas.
6 Months is about how long it takes to go from manuscript to book on the shelves.
Of course, I had the same hope last Christmas.
