I've always thought that Rickon would end up being either Warden of the North or King of the North by the end of the story. But this seems to shoot that prediction out of the water.
I still believe it, to be honest. I don't think he was in the original plans, and there was no real reason for GRRM to include him just to have Ramsey kill him. I think he's there to keep the Stark family name alive through the male line after Jon is found to be a Targaryen and Bran remains far away.

With no more source material, this thread has definitely gone full crackpot.

That was always the most logical line of progression for me - Jon and Dany become the new Targ dynasty, Bran is the new Greenseer, Rickon is the new Lord Stark - maybe Sansa marries the Martell kid?
(Jamie and Brienne have some bad arse, sword fighting kids in Casterly Rock after Jamie kills Cersei?)
I mean, if nobody lives happily ever after - what kind of "fantasy" is that?
Yeah, crackpotism is running rampant since we all collectively jumped off the Hodor cliff together.
Hodor.

If Ramsay lives past this season Dave and Dan can get fricked. It's turning comical at this point.

What if Ramsay really goes all out and flays Roose and Walda?
Could definitely see this. I feel like Ramsay killing his dad is a big possibility.

I think Ramsay is pretty resourceful and will outlive his father in both the show and the books. The Battle of the Bastards I think is inevitable, although I think they will be different with Sansa and Stannis not being a factor at all.
But yeah, Winds and Season 6 need to be the final appearance for Ramsay.

If they plan on ending the show in 8 seasons, then my guess is Ramsay dies in E9 or 10 of this season.
I also think that any combination of Cersei, Margaery, Tommen, & Loras could be done after this season too.

In the books, we know that Theon ends up in front of the weir wood with Stannis primed to execute him. Since that's obviously out of the question in the show, I think he's probably a good candidate to get flayed and burned.
The only problem there is that Ramsay has already broken his will and made him Reek. Seems a little off for him to turn around and kill him.
shite, I don't even know. They are about to get down to a relatively slim cast if they don't stop killing them.

Well there is a plethora of characters from the books to replace the actions/motives of characters in the show

I feel like there has to be some kind of thread of hope and happiness in this storyline for the Starks.
I just don't have a fricking clue where that comes in.

Maybe Ramsey flays roose to show their army that he is in charge and not his father. I don't know if there are enough strong men in the north to get Fat Walda up on a pike.

Hafthor Bjornsson—yes, "The Mountain" from Game of Thrones—is a strong man.
A very, very strong man.
On Saturday, he broke his own world record by tossing a 33-pound beer keg just over 23 feet into the air.
According to Giants-Live.com, the big fella was pretty pumped afterward.
"It was easy! I could have broken the roof," he said. "It was amazing to do this in front of the great crowd. Bring on Europe's Strongest Man."

I feel as though Rickon will end up a "King of Winter" as in old school Stark gentry. He and his Shaggy Dog are wild like that.

Damn that's awesome. Some people have lots of time on their hands.

I know it has been discussed here ad nauseam, That map kind of illustrates how goofy it is that the White Walkers can't get past the wall. There is plenty of room to the left of Shadow Tower that the wall doesn't protect. I guess they are like vampires, and can't cross running water or something.
