In a recent interview with USA Today, Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton unloaded on the terrible coaching job that preceded him in Denver with former coach Nathaniel Hackett...
quote:

"It might have been one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL. That’s how bad it was," Payton said.

“There’s 20 dirty hands, for what was allowed, tolerated in the fricking training rooms, the meeting rooms. The offense. I don’t know Hackett. A lot of people had dirt on their hands. It wasn’t just Russell [Wilson]. He didn’t just flip. He still has it. This B.S. that he hit a wall? Shoot, they couldn’t get a play in. They were 29th in the league in pre-snap penalties on both sides of the ball.

"It doesn’t happen often where an NFL team or organization gets embarrassed. And that happened here. Part of it was their own fault, relative to spending so much fricking time trying to win the offseason — the P.R., the pomp and circumstance, marching people around and all this stuff.”

We’ll see how good a coach SP is now that he doesn’t have a HOF quarterback.
Ripping your predecessor is like ripping your ex-wife. That’s no class and no credibility.
Hope he falls flat on his face.

Sean Payton is so full of himself, he probably thinks he would have won a Superbowl without Brees.

Without a doubt Sean is responding to something. That seems a little out of character of his public persona.

I hope for his sake, that the internet isn't on fire posting that quote when the season is over with the caption "Well, this didn't age well".

He’s saying these are my guys and taking all of the heat/attention from Russell Wilson. It’s bold but really pretty genius strategy.

Without Kneeler Brees, he may not have had one winning season. Guy should have kept his mouth shut about guns and the second amendment.

Interesting that the Saints started signing LSU guts as soon as Payton left. No LSU allowed in Denver going forward.

Sounds like he knows the season may suck and is starting with the excuses.

Classless whiny POS.

You know he spent time in the south, first thing was to blame your predecessor.

Says the guy who won one Super Bowl while having a decade of top talent, and also oversaw one of the worst scandals in modern era. His arrogance is unending, and he will not win in Denver. Good coach-for sure, but he is only a legend in his own mind

Yeah you’re not smart and probably should refrain from posting.

Some of you have really short memories. SP took arguably the historically worst franchise in the league and turned them into a SB champion and contender nearly every year. He improved the franchise so much that the fans now expect/demand to at least win the NFC South and be in contention for the SB every year. Yeah, SP did that.

Colts move to Indy. Browns to Baltimore. Both under cover of night with full knowledge that they'd be fricking their loyal fans over 2 ways from Sunday. Cecil Collins. Aaron H. Carruth. OJ. Vick. You really think that trumped up bountygate bullshite is one of the worst scandals in the modern era?

And he won in NOLA. What makes you think he can't win in a place like Denver?

C'mon. I think he should have at least been to one more SB but Payton took over a shite org and the worst season he ever had was 7-9. He did that 4x over 15 or so years. He also won the south 7x and was in the playoffs 9x. Saints are back in the desert now.
